Hey guys! Please use this post to tell us about any ideas, fixes, changes or improvements you may have for our survival server. We will pass on as many of your ideas as possible and try to report back if they've been denied/accepted.

ooo i have a few ideas!

1.If you can, re-add elite mobs to sw. I really liked that plugin and was pretty sad when I found out it was taken away :(

2.Make a staff/server ran spawner that has more mob spawners (magma cubes, creepers, etc.). Many mob drops are harder to get than others, I think it would be nice for them to be easier to get

3.I dont know if you already do this, but pay the evh for event prizes. More people would play events if the prizes were over 25k I feel, so maybe if you gave them an allowance it would be easier to get players to play the events

Those are just some of my thoughts, ill probably add more lol

Actual pvp events /murder is not pvp - im meaning like TDM,CTF, Free for all, and maybe some pvp arenas for people to practice like on the faction server how @evan had the duel plugin i feel how the game is spose to be survival there is lack of player on player game modes, we have the builds for pvp game modes in /w3 and would be nice to have some fresh ones ( as the ones that are there now have been used for theses type of plugins)

As you are probs thinking people are going cause drama if they loose there stuff during a pvp event thats why we use to have kits already done for it like how in Mob area they have kits already and you dont loose anything! we use to have a team death match plugin that was free to join at any time like how /murder is but not sure what happend to it! And maybe add the guns version of them game modes and maybe not and keep it Minecraft style and keep it with a sword armor and a bow and separate them in to different classes and could make more kits like healer for the attacking people ect (Just a example of types of kits)

Id be happy to work on ideas for new areas for pvp events i dont mind giving my time to help out at all

I still feel like we're too harsh on redstone, and it always comes back to lag. its definitely nice to finally have the LWC implementation with minecarts now, makes smelters and sorters much more streamlined.

Is there any way to track piston limits directly? without needing for staff to place them. It can get rather irritating to have to ask staff to place pistons if you're building anything that uses more than 10.

Pistons/slimeblocks are a huge part of redstone, and its a shame that they're flat out banned in any sort of crop farm. MCMMO + fortune makes these farms almost obsolete anyway, so it would be nice if we found a way to actually let people use pistons in semi-automatic farms.

With auto sorters and hopper counts, we have a cap of 100 hoppers for sorters. with the most efficient sorter design possible and no leeway for inputs and outputs, that's 50 items, which makes sorters only viable for bulk storage, and nothing more. We can significantly reduce the lag of hoppers just by placing a block on top of them (stops the check of input from above) so It would be nice to see this reviewed.

Building on from the last one, the region count of 200 basically forbids having more than a single large machine in a region. If you own a large smelter and sorter, you don't have enough hoppers for both in the same region.


Finally, as Mike said, It would be nice to be able to get drops of the rarer mobs more easily (especially since slime farms are banned). perhaps we could have a built in drop rate increase? The emp price seems pretty hefty on these items as well so I can't see why anyone would ever buy them directly from emp, especially if you need large numbers of them (slime blocks are 500 emp each).

That's all I can think of really. I'm not staff so I can't exactly suggest in depth ways of changing these things. Just a few thoughts :)

another idea i had; making a vetworld. After the last major reset, I remember a staff (dont remember who) saying something about adding vet world again after 1.14 and we still haven't gotten one.

Hello, first off thank you for the suggestions!
1. EliteMobs was removed because of a poll that revealed most people didn't enjoy it. I am still bringing this up with Tow & co. to find out whether or not it'll be brought back but can't give you an update just yet.
2. This has been decided against for multiple reasons, the main of which being that it takes away from the survival experience and in doing so makes going to the nether more pointless.
3. EventHosts do get paid money :)

Edit: EliteMobs will not be re-added, heard back from Tow and he would not like to deal with the complications it brought with it.

This will have been removed because we need to monitor what people are using pistons for so they can't create awful lag machines etc. This won't be changing any time soon because otherwise we'd have to manually go and find every piston to check it's being used legally.

I have opened up a discussion with the manager+ team about the possibility of this and so far the only one we can consider changing is whether or not to allow pistons in semi-auto farms, the other 2 queries (not needing staff to place and monitor pistons & increasing the hopper limit) have been denied because we unfortunately can't trust all players to follow the rules on pistons and redstone contraptions without certain restrictions. The hopper limit is not what it is to make players' lives hard, it's to prevent lag being generated.

Feel free to suggest any other ideas you may have!

I think that there needs to be more incentives for people to get on. Are they any new events in the works that are coming anytime soon?

SFTMMO will not be coming back as the plugin is no longer being developed, that is the reason we switched to McMMO.

Quests maybe? I remember tow wanting to add some quests (obtain like 16 logs for 15 emp) or maybe make actual quests that have stakes like first player to complete it gets a special (somewhat op) item or money. And we can have it changed every month or week

Edit: I can make the quests too! I made around 150 for Wild West back then I don't see a problem making quests every week hehe

Having a look into it now, I would assume the plugin was abandoned but i may be wrong.

You could use mywarp signs and set warps on where you want the 'lift' to exist and do it that way?

Is it possible to make so that your voting tier affects how good of items your receive during a vote party? (I don't believe that it currently does that)

it does but for you to get better items you must keep voting every day. biggest teir is 3 or 4 i believe. I once got an ender dragon head too!

I just had an idea that I thought would be good to put on here:

Create a "vote week" event. I have two ideas that go along with it
1: make vote tiers go up faster per daily vote (0->5 in 3 days)
2: If we get a certain amount of votes in a week everyone can get perms for anything on the premium shop for a week or two (ex: we hit 200 votes in a week, we all get disguise/glow for a week)

Its a small idea that I thought of a few mins ago but I think it'll make more people want to vote throughout the month :)

This was seriously considered and talked about for a while but it was decided that right now we are going to focus on revamping regular vote rewards and then come back to this in the future.

I think the new chat is too spammy and confusing for new players. Could there be a way to toggle the inter-server chat messages so they can be visible/not visible.

This is more or less a trial, we want to blend the servers together to feel like an entire community, the owners are listening to feedback and trying to suit it to everyone so if there's a huge backlash it will be changed but we'd love it if you embrassed it or if you have any suggestions to improve the chat other than just remove it that would be amazing too!

The cross chat thing makes sense for creative & survival but not a fan of it showing the modded servers tbh

The chats being connected adds more complexity than muting it could ever do.
Based off that, they would have to be a Survival and Pixelmon player to answer any questions a Pixelmon player would have.
Since we don't have similar commands to Pixelmon, Survival players would be unable to help out. (This is where having a, "Pixelmon Player" role and #mc-pixelmon come in handy!)

I think the concept is interesting!
However, it's spammy as others have mentioned. It's un-aesthetically pleasing to look at with "[Su]" and the tab list containing prefixes instead of just the rank. You're creating confusion that'll make new players leave instead. :)

Edit; Also, the badges being viewable from Discord looks un-pleasing as well, sorry sorry! 😬

this too, if it HAS to say please at least make it so the chat in Pixelmon looks the same as text on Survival. I noticed if you're on pixelmon, the font of people talking from survival is a bit different and some colors are different from people talking on discord. I played pixelmon for the first time the other day and was genuinely confused when people talked from discord cause it looked different than what i was used to when i play on survival

tbh everything was good and simple for us all we were used to it for years and then in like a day the entire chat from every server is connected and every time i play at peak times my chat literally never stops which also makes it confusing to seperate the survival people etc.
