But honestly, this is really good. Can't tell you how many times I've sworn and some kid goes, "omg don't swear pls im 9" in global chat and they make me look like a douche (which isn't hard) Great job Nafi, this is excellent. Also, could I have the list? I have a tonne of Australian swears nobody wants to know, such as "That's a paddock of flamin' galah's" which basically means B.S. But that aside, our younger players can definitely feel more comfortable on our server which will give a more kid-friendly approach to SFT, considering that it's named after a South Park episode and our leader is called Towelie, also from South Park, though no hate to Towelie. Anyway, I'm rambling too much.
My parents used to let me watch south park when I was four...

Because you probably didn't understand it at the time, considering how young you were.  But, in unlikely circumstances, if a 4 year old you understood South Park... then I have no comment.

I suggested this a while back, albeit, not formally. Nice to see it come to fruition.

I haven't played in quite some time now but I think it might be useful to add this to the GUI that we have (assuming it's still around). Wouldn't mind seeing it toggled on as default as well and having to manually turn it off. Seems this would lead to less complications.

EDIT: Wouldn't mind seeing the list of blocked words either. May I suggest posting it somewhere? That way it could stay updated at all times and people could easily make suggestions to it. Might also want to tag it as NSFW or something if you were to post it somewhere.

Is there an option where the censor works backwards? Where it adds more enthusiasm into the bad words? :P
Are insults still insults if I agree with the statement(s)?

Is this turned on by default? if not then its not very good for new players to SFT (unless the welcome message tells you or the guidebook has it listed as a command)?

Great work Nafi!

Yeah. If it's not turned on by default I think it defiantly should be. Only once you learn about it could you (if you wanted to) turn it off.

Quote from: DeltaCosmic on Jan 16, 2017, 04:55 AMI think this would be awesome on pixelmon, there are kids who play and that would  handy to have for those parents who worry.
I plan on adding it to them. I'd have to double check some things before I add it though as those are older versions of MC. (100% will be on Factions and on by default.)

One step ahead of you. There is a setting in the config file that can be toggled whether the censor is on by default or not. I've let Towelie decide so far but I do think it is off by default currently.

Quote from: Towelie on Jan 15, 2017, 02:48 PMDo you just hate swearing and people who curse? You can now block that!
Just turn your Personal Censor (plugin developed by @Nafi) on. It will censor more cursewords, with more and more being added each day (feel free to report via forum pm if a curse makes it across the censor)

Commands:
- /pcensor on (turn your censor on
- /pcensor off

NOTE: Personal Censor only blocks the bad words for you. So if you have the censor on and you type a bad word, it will not be censored.
lol I feel like this was made because of me xD lmfao

No joke. I have no sensor what so ever
Honour: If you need it defined, you don't have it

If you can't handle curse words chances are you shouldn't be playing video games.

I think the concern is mostly with the parents, not the players.

Maybe 9 year old kids shouldn't see all the cursewords thrown around and now we're giving their parents a opt-out.
What's so bad about that?

My sisters used to play on SFT on their laptops and my dad would see the profanity on it and tell them to get off it. They're fine with curse words - Heck; I even played all The Walking Dead games with my youngest sister who is 11 by my side and listening in because she loves it. As the above comments state - It's mostly the parents who are 'iffy' with it. If not, it's players who think the profanity said is wrong BECAUSE there are players online of a young agenda. It's not the swear words that are the problem sometimes, it's when those words turn into sexual conversation taking place on the server that players really say stop to.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo....

Tbh people will use "codewords" Like $hit or something.

Quote from: sparkydeathcap on Feb 17, 2016, 04:07 AMand also; how old are you? I've always imagined you as like a old irish man that drinks whiskey and screams at people to get off his lawn while sitting on a bench in the park. But I'm pretty sure that's not the case because if it was: 1. you're a pedophile and 2. you're a pedophile

If people want to see curse words, they can turn the censor off. It will just be on to begin with and you can turn it off any time. Bypassing it would do no good.
