What I took from what Notch said is you cant go restrict access to something like mining diamonds and require the user to donate to use something that should be available to them at the start. So as long as we arent withholding game content and REQUIRING the user to donate to access, we should be fine.

Our donations are optional and a way to progress your play on the server faster, everything can be obtained for free if you play and we do our best to keep it that way.

Yeah, exactly. I bought auto shops with earned in game money, and decided to buy fly with real money because it would be faster, and supporting the server.(Well, I bought part of fly because I won a competition)

Also, by donating to superfuntime, you are funding our community, and not just our minecraft server. It is clear that donating for the community is not for profit also. So, this isn't what notch is saying because he says that he doesn't want people making money(profit) off his game.

Donations are donations, not purchases really. The prices are high enough that people don't buy for the item, they buy to keep a community they love running.

If mojang in fact does cause our community(and many others probably) to crumble I will never play minecraft, or any game involved with mojang again. Your call, notch.

I've liked plug.dj for a while. Anyone can DJ so you get a wide variety of music tastes (usually). Also the voting "woot" and "meh" make sure the listeners only have to listen to songs they like! :)

I thought mice of men was a pretty good book. I don't see why he's removing them. Books are books, no matter where the author came from, or where the book is set. It seems to me like another "gove gone mad" thing, like wanting us to spend every hour of our lives held captive in school. Seems to me that Mr Gove wants to make a mark on the education system. But, if he really did want to leave a mark, wouldn't he do the things that we want and need, rather than removing books that have no problem in the curriculum for no real reason?

He's focusing on things people don't want, instead of suggesting/proposing, for example ways to make university free (without debt for the rest of your life) which I'm sure everyone would support. Why discourage intellect and willingness to learn?

They [fifa] are ignoring the mass complaints of the Brazilian public and the economic effects hosting the world cup has had (or at least affected) on them, such as inflation, increased travel costs and little to no increase in wages. That in my mind is a much better reason to question if games should go ahead than because some politicians think a country should be punished. Just the usual political attempts at blackmailing to quell Russia "stop threatening ukraine or no world cup". Least for now FIFA is being sensible and not doing it, but can see more pressure mounting.

In my opinion, FIFA shouldn't allow the world cup in places where the money could be used for the citizen's benefit. However, if the profit made from the competition was put back towards the citizens needs, it could be very beneficial. I mean, look at the difference between rich and poor in some countries. India for example has its own space program, but still millions of citizens live in slums, struggling to afford to live.

On the topic of Russia, people tried to boycott and protest against the Winter Olympics, but it still went ahead. Obviously not enough people cared about it then, so why would people care about it now. (and when I mean people, I actually mean the sponsors. They should care more about what is right, rather than their personal gain. They should realise by now that sponsoring things that the people don't want gives a BAD image)

"Happy" will encourage kids to eat fruits, vegetables, low-fat dairy and water, the company added. But people appear to be terrified and confused by the new character.
This is obviously untrue. If he makes kids want to eat salad, why on earth would kids go to mcdonalds for salad? I got to mcdonalds to eat burgers and gain weight for it. Not to stuff a salad down my throat. If I wanted a salad I would just buy some vegetables etc at the supermarket, chuck it in a bowl and eat. But obviously salad sucks so why would I do that?

Also:
Would you trust this man to babysit your kids?

How about?

Good marketing....

And they all lived happily ever after!

Apart from the cow, who became a mcdonalds burger.

The end.
