What's up survival,

This Sunday at 10am PST Steve and I will be hosting Pictionary and some spotit. 2-3 rounds of Pictionary with 40k to the winner, and spotit with 15k per house.

Iddk like for me the like core of minecraft lost it touch for me.

Issue what I had with SFT survival is the price of all the new items. It just seems they were stupidly expensive. I started playing after reset and spent a few hours mining, Didn't even make close to 100k. I asked a manager as well what do people normally sell in bulk to try and understand how to actually make money on SFT because mining just wasn't worth it and I just got blanked and ignored by them.

I think idk for me personally prices were to expensive especially to a player who doesn't know how to abuse the system. i/e what items to sell and the items which are easiest to get to make the most money.

I know voting is a good way to make money, but at the moment I would consider myself just to be a casual gamer to minecraft so voting everyday to build up to the good rewards just wasn't for me.

me PERSONALLY thats the main issue I had with SFT and why I stopped playing. I had other issues but this was my main issue which made me leave.

Not trying to invalidate your issue, but for starters you can ask other players about money making and the economy, and i'm sure they'd help you out. Also if a manager didn't reply it most likely meant they were very busy. Also you might want to come back now, because mining received a big update after the pyromining plugin was added.

Maybe getting together the architect team to build an arena and then just moving some of the events like wipeout ect. would be pretty cool for players. Also I think some of the prizes could be premium shop credit or maybe some sort of cool item voucher in game.

Not really sure if this fits all the catagories but no mans sky looks like and interesting game and I think it's a multiplayer game

It is a multiplayer game but i'm pretty sure it doesn't exactly support server hosting. You can just join other players and I think there are limits to how many people can join. Although if the game keeps getting updated, server hosting may be added.

Suggestions:
I know we already tried terraria, but I feel like that project was kinda given up on in a way? If tow + other sft devs/server peeps got together and really tried to get things up and running then I think it could work. (Not trying to discredit rally for their work)

Another game i'm keeping my eye on is satisfactory. I know for sure i'm going to be playing it when it comes out, although they still haven't announced a release date.

Whatever you need i'm here for. I've had pretty extensive experience with mcMMO in the past.

I think that the next server should be made an unturned server. It's free and it requires less ram and computer requirements and plus it's not too hard to figure out after a few tutorials or a bit of refreshing of what you need to start. An unturned server can connect friends easily silence its free and not so resource demanding of a game. PixArk is 20$ (USD) and has a lesser chance of people joining more than unturned because unturned is a fun, mouldable game that a server can be made with better maps, mods and more shit like the ( on a side note if an unturned server is made I would like to apply for staff if possible, I play that game a lot )

But the thing that people are failing to remember is that SFT and PvP don't go well. Unturned is free, however the fact still boils down to it being a HEAVY pvp game. Without it, it's lacking. With it, People rage quit. There's no winning.

I think it's still worth a shot though, it doesn't seem like that could really happen very easily. Every unturned server i've played on people have gotten mad. That just drove them to do better and come back. I still think the fact that there is a very established community for unturned is a huge positive. Something to keep in mind.

Does't look like PixArk will be happening due to the really high server requirements:
Windows 7, 8, 8.1, Server 2008, Server 2012 & 64-Bit

Quad Core processor (requires up to 2 full cores)

Up to 16GB memory (currently uses around 6GB memory minimum and up to 15GB of memory for a full server)

Issue 1: Needs Windows. That eliminates all the servers we have as they are all linux, and also any Windows server we may want to rent will also include a licensing fee for the Windows license...
Issue 2: Requires ~16GB RAM.


So this eliminates the option of self hosting. We could pay for a hosting service at ~0.8EUR / slot (so for a 16 slot server we'd pay $12.8 / mo, but most likely other fees will come for a dedicated ip, etc)
So, I would only do it if we have ~8-10 people that are commited to playing on the server if we do launch it. So can we get a head count of who would be interested to play and actually has the game?

I have two friends that would play. I still like unturned better though

I have over 300 hours on unturned, I love the game. I think it's perfect for SFT when taking into account the current player base. Lots of players stick to survival because they computers can't run modded. Although, I'd be happy to play either one.

P.S.
Recently my brother got into my account and was using it to build illegal fishing farms ect.. Since then i've taken away his access to my account, and plan on keeping him as far away from my computer as possible. I'm sorry for some of the recent confusion, and hope none of this has an impact on my application.
