My casino has seen a big decline in traffic in the past few months and I would like to know why. If you are a survival player and have some spare time, I would appreciate it if you took this survey. All participants who enter their name will receive 25,000 emp in FREE casino chips. :pig:

Seeing how slow sales have been, will the manager/admin team consider loosening the ownership rules? For example, allowing a player to own both a house and a shop?

(Sorry to bump an old topic, by the way)

14 houses (40% of the 35 planned) are finished and every one is still sold out. I will be taking a break from building houses for a few months (it has become rather tedious), so until I resume building, those who want to buy a house unfortunately will not be able to.

Thanks to the generosity of @Towelie and hard work of @Autpek, Ducky's Palace now uses real casino chips (renamed dyes) rather than written books. This feature takes the gambling experience to a whole new level, as well as making it easier to play for first-time gamblers. If you are in possession of any of the old written book casino chips, please contact me, either in-game or on  discord (@omelet#7541) so we can we change those out. ;D

Also, the chip slots have been renamed to simply "slots," and you can now warp there with /warp slots.

I have found the right person, but I may hire in the future. Locking.

Hey everyone. As the title of this post suggests, I am in need of an employee. The type of work I need this employee to do is almost entirely building-related, but little skill is required other than being able to follow instruction. The work I am requesting is not mallusa/townusa/casino related, but rather, for an entirely new venture which I think could be highly profitable.

Pay will be between 200,000 and 800,000 a week, perhaps more if you prove to be efficient.

The employee must be an honest, preferably old player in good standing with the community. But most importantly, they must have a ton of free time on their hands and be immune to boredom. The work I am requesting of my employee is very repetitive, and if it appears they are slacking or losing focus, I will not hesitate to terminate the contract.

If this sounds like someone you are interested in, contact my discord @omelet#7541.

Tired of the expensive, rule-stricken city life? (Yes, that was a jab at Brickport). Move to the suburbs!

TownUSA is a beautiful town modeled after the American suburbs, built by @omelott with the help of @Firelighttt. It is currently under construction, but once finished, it will consist of 35 homes and a brand new Mallusa in the center of town.

All houses are built with a spacious, complex floorplan and consist of at least 2 bedrooms (1 masters and 1 regular, with closets), 1-2 bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, garage, front/back yards, and a massive attic for your storage needs. Every house is unique and not a single one is like the other. Much thought and attention to detail was put into constructing each house.

The standard price for each house is 500 or 600k (depending on whether Firelighttt's help was used). However, I offer a 20% discount to active staff members (as a "thank you" for their service) and a 10% discount to residents of my former mallusa village. Because the demand for these houses is so high, all houses that have been built are currently sold out and there exists a waiting list for ones currently under construction. The waiting list costs 100k to join. Those on the list will be served first.

You can come visit and see our progress at /warp townusa. If you forget the warp, you can also find us in the /town gui. If this is way out of your budget, then consider buying a house in our lovely sister town at /warp bayview.

Town Rules:
1. Treat your neighbors with kindness and respect
2. Do not change the exterior walls of your house and be modest with your yard decorations. This helps us preserve the town aesthetic.
3. Do not sell or rent your house to other players
4. Do not move your house out of the town. It must stay in the town until there is a reset (which is very far off in the future)
5. Do not go inactive for 2 or more months. However, this rule does not apply to you if you put considerable effort into decorating your house/ it looks like you live there. I'm obviously not going to evict people who would care about being evicted. Some people don't like this rule but it's much more relaxed than brickport's and it's necessary to stop people from only buying these houses for status.
6. Do not put British flags outside your home (Canadian ones are OK).

Because of a recent (and very large) robbery, the chip slot machines are momentarily down. Sorry everyone! They'll be back soon.

Probably @SashaLarie for the insane amount of time and work she puts into keeping the server running when Towelie isn't around.

Hi everyone. So since Thanksgiving, I've been thinking a lot about how much this community has given to me over the years. I've been able to give back some in the form of some donations, but now I'm a broke college student and I really can't afford to donate. But I'm not broke on SFT. So I came up with this idea.

Starting today and ending on New Years Day, I will be voting every single day. For every day that I forget to vote, I will donate 1 million emp to the lottery. I have never voted for more than a few days at a time, so this should be interesting.

Happy Holidays everyone!

So was this approved? Can't wait to buy some of these.

Updated the main post. Also, if anyone has suggestions or complaints concerning the casino, please leave a written book in my mailbox in front of my house in the Brickport spawn. That or discord is the easiest way to get ahold of me.

Yes, as long as they aren't bugged whenever a world is reset.

Quote from: George on Nov 07, 2020, 05:50 PMso you are telling me that i dont pay rent i own the actual thing but i will get kicked out if im inactive. get outta here dude

It's to make the town lively. They don't want a bunch of houses owned by inactive players sitting around when there are people who might really want to own those houses. I did the exact same thing with my town a few years ago (Nommy Island), and it worked really well- I had a population of very active players and homes were always available for those who wanted one. It also was a consistent source of revenue for the town ;)
Well no1 should have the permission to take your property.

I don't know what to tell you, my friend. With a town as desirable to live in as this one, there are inevitably going to be drawbacks.

I think the new chat is too spammy and confusing for new players. Could there be a way to toggle the inter-server chat messages so they can be visible/not visible.

Are you upset because /slots was removed? Don't be. Because after 3 weeks of procrastination, Ducky's Palace is back open!

Ducky's Palace is being moved to world 2 and will be closed for a few weeks for some redecorating. Also, shoutout to @Stardominate for gambling so much that she emptied all 3 of the most expensive slot machines and still came out 1 mil ahead.

Congratulations to @Kamer on winning the beacon from the slot machines. And on his first time! Could you be a lucky ducky like him? There's only one way to find out!

And for those wondering, there are still beacons to be won :)

Hey everyone! Ducky's Palace has a brand new game: The quackpot!

For just 5k (the price of one SFT lottery ticket), you could have a chance to win the quackpot! With each play, the quackpot increases by a random interval. If you're lucky and you win the quackpot, you'll hear a little jingle, followed by the giant duck on the wall vomiting out the contents of the quackpot. If you don't win the quackpot, don't worry. Everyone at Ducky's Palace is a winner, so you'll always win a prize for each play (and you can still come out ahead without winning the quackpot).

The cerdit goes to George Filos for doing the redstone for this fantastic game.

What are you waiting for? Take a quack at it at /warp quackpot!
