The Factions server is closing down

The factions server is shutting down as of tonight.
We will work on replacing it with the Prison server, however at this time we cannot provide an exact release date.

I remember having a lot of fun on there in the past but I also remember it having quit a few problems. Sad to see it go but I am sure it is for the best

Well if this is because of the people on there being bad, then why not just remove them, shorten the chances, improve on the staff (not saying they are bad, but make more, active ones) and I know many people only don't play there because of the people that are online most of the time but I honestly don't see why it should be the reason for it to be shutting down! D:

But... factions is my home.. It's the only place I felt like I belonged and was accepted; you can't just shut it down because of the people, I'd do anything for this server.

Edit: And I'd also like to add, that the server itself isn't to blame. There are a lot of nice friendly players who play there, sure the pvp gets people riled, but that's no excuse to shut down a perfectly nice server.

You may think it's a breeding ground for porn and whatnot, but that's because there's less staff to keep an eye on people.

No one will be more affected by this than me, and honestly, I'd rather you sorted out whatever happened with these people (banning) rather than shutting the server down, as you're not getting rid of the source, you're getting rid of the playground.

It's about Factions being a Cancer that is spreading to SFT.

Well, here is an idea that probably wont happen, but why dont we make factions like vanilla? There can be a spot on the forums where you request to be allowed to gain entry and the staff will decide. That way we won't be losing to many players + it stops the "bad" side of factions?

The lack of staff, tends to drive people away as the people who are up to no good are tormenting those who are trying to be productive whilst staff are not online- Hence it isn't bringing in as much of a player base than it use to

This has been done about 10 times now in the past. It's not about removing "bad people", because new bad people keep coming to the server. It just never stops.

From what I've learnt from my friend Lucy there is pretty a lot of fighting between the player! I'm sure its for the best!
