Hello everyone,

Unfortunately we had to close down Factions earlier this week due to events which we cannot reveal as of yet. These events were however at least partially caused by the bad climate on factions, which included bullying and other harmful behaviour.

In addition to that, we have had to ban some people for this specific behaviour as well as some other people for the sending and receiving of explicit pictures of other SFT members. It should be noted that in the case that there are minors involved we will never tolerate the sending or the receiving of these pictures and will take action against this.

We have launched a full internal investigation with the sole purpose to clean up the server and community of such behavior.
We strongly recommend breaking all contact with any people which were confirmed as involved in issues such as these.

I'd imagine the people involved don't want to be revealed at all. They can tell people if they want but it's up to them, and it shouldn't be disclosed without consent in my opinion.

I have two stances.
#1: As a staff member, I appreciate that the server is being cleaned up. We needed it. I also appreciate pointing out the fact that you are banning people who exhibited those behaviors, because my reasoning was: When you shut down Facs, aren't the facs people just going to migrate to Survival, and make Survival infected by the "cancerous" server? But now it makes sense.

#2: As a somewhat active Facs player: I am saddened, it was a fun place to be, but I understand it was more harmful than fun. I met a lot of my current friends on Facs :/ It sucks a great server went bad. It hasn't been the best few days in SFT.

Im sad to see Factions gone but since it was in the best interest for SFT, I can see why it has been removed. It really disgusts me that people would do such things to other members of the community, not only is it perverted but its just wrong.

Although this is a sad thing to happen, I now feel- after talking to Ilax & Duane -this is a good opportunity to branch out and try other servers such as survival, creative, pixelmon and the others. It may also be a good idea to check out the two new servers which will be coming out 'Prison' and 'Wild West' both of these servers will benefit greatly from factions being taken down as they will have less competition so all in all, I am glad factions is gone.
