Players of Survival, what can I do?

What would it take for you to no longer be bored / get bored as fast of Survival (which let's face it, we all know it can get boring, especially after you play the game for multiple years, I am also aware that most of the players are here for the atmosphere / chatting with other players / etc and not because they are addicted to the game).

My question is, what would it take for you to get some excitement/fun again when playing Survival? Give me your view on that. It can be a new minigame (for example replacing /dm join with something else) or just adding something else (what?),
I'm running out of ideas and I could very much appreciate your ideas and feedback. Thank you!

PS: I know this post is about Survival but since it's on first page, I may as well benefit and post some news on what saywhat is working on, directly from the man:

umm lets see prison -> got mines done and almost done with cells
creative -> still need to finish that
hunger games -> setting up a server for tera and some people to make a new map
ttt -> server setup and fastdl setup for fast map downloads and I've tested it with a few people and just need to get some custom weapons added and make the motd look nice

So yeah, as you can see:

#1 Prison - Work is being done on it actively
#2 Creative & Hungergames -> Are being revamped, but prison is 1st priority so it may take a bit to finish
#3 Yes, saywhat is trying to make a new ttt (gmod) server. At the moment it's just an experiment to see what we can do and such and is not open to the public.

Possibly new, custom events? Everytime I'm on the event hosts literally host the same 3-5 events every single time. Also, the majority of the events that are popular and often hosted could be done in vanilla minecraft. It'd be interesting to see custom events using plugins.

@Scotmid @Green_Giant @American_Walrus  and other eventhosts, do you have any ideas of any plugins that would help you host better events? Such as minigame plugins. Look out for that and let me know if you find anything!

I'd love for BMT (build my thing), to make a return. I'm not exactly sure if it's still being updated, but it was fun while it lasted.

Edit: Can a new map be made for the paintball plugin? I (and other players) preferred the previous map. Perhaps it's a possibility to have numerous maps?

More events like paintball, where its a fun team game that doesn't result in death/loss of items etc. Dodgeball would be cool, some type of soccer would be interesting as well.

I personally have been on and off with activity on sft, but in time I have realized I am most active (24+ hours in a week) when I have a goal to reach (auto shops, rare item collecting, building etc.) Now and days I get online and I have everything I want, 3 autos, a large home with multiple buildings, and a few collections, but what does that leave me to do? Mostly hope I find something intresting in chat, help new players, or do events. But what I really think survival needs is something that can get every member of the server involved, a common goal that gives people a reason to be online besides the basics we see today. I personally believe a large community project like sphere town would really give people something to do. It's 1am and I'm really tired but just a random idea, a huge island with a bunch of plots and everyone can build whatever they want on their plot. And not plots like creative just maybe a 15x15 space to build a small house or something. But that's just one terrible idea, I bet there is some kind of group goal that could be set to get the community intrested. That is all

I'd start with compiling it for mc 1.8 and then giving it to me to test. There are also some game breaking bugs in it which I cannot remember on the top of my head

This will probably not happen any time soon. There has only been 1 full reset since 2012, as far as I can recall, that is.
However, I might be totally wrong in this

A full reset WILL happen just not in the short to meduim term.
We would lose too many players right nwo and I have to constantly outweigh the benefits to the risks (aka how many returning players we'd get vs how many players we'd lose).

To be honest, I'd love a full reset myself, I'm just too scared

Doggggggggggggeh why do u want a FULL reset the last time it happened I was crying because I lost ALL OF MY ITEMS ;( Also think about the people who have beacons and spent looooooooads of emp and time also WHAT ABOUT THE crate collectors.

If you want to start all over again nothing is stopping you. Delete all your items, and don't use any of your perms. A full reset would r eally split the community a lot, and I don't think it really would ever be the same again.

This question has been asked for years, but no mods or plugins won't change the facts that it's still Minecraft. You can't just keep milking it, when there are other game servers that could be hosted. How about stop focusing on Minecraft so much, and start working on something bigger, outside Minecraft, instead of just releasing a dedicated servers of any games, without adding anything to it, like we've done for the past 5 years.

For Creative:
I made be a super nerd, but I think if you ever did something based around role play, for creative, that everyone would like it more. I forget the name of it, but there is a Role Plugin.

For Survival:

Games take around 3 minutes tops, I think we got a lot of them. What if we got something like a quest or book that if you did all the things you got prizes or something. Totally new idea may bring more people. I don't know if it can be added or not, just an idea!

I don't know how this would be done, but I feel like the key to renewed interest in survival is bringing the community together in some way.

The reason I always end up coming back to SFT after long hiatuses is because I find the community fun. I enjoy SFT because I enjoy the time spent with the friends I meet here. (It also helps that I find survival fun and it seems likely that will never stop, given that I'm still playing it all these years later)

Maybe this would be something like "If x people accomplish goal y everyone on the server gets z." (Sort of like vote parties, but a bit more involved.)
Maybe this goal has a time limit?
Maybe this is a "Each town (or guild?) can put forward x people to work towards this goal, and everyone in the winning town splits the prize" thing?

Perhaps instead of making these 'world event' type things, we start giving players an incentive to work on community projects?

I don't know what you should do, but I am almost certain the thing you want to do is bring the community closer together in some way.

As for events: I agree with what the others have said, we need something fresh, but I don't have any ideas with regards to events, either. I never participate in them because I've grown tired of the majority of them, and even then I can make way more money in the same amount of time by mining, so I really don't have any reason to participate. (I'm not saying you should raise the rewards for events - I think they are fine as is - that's just my reason for not participating)

Nothing. People need to stop relying on others to be entertained and start trying to find ways to entertain themselves. SFT's playerbase is way too lazy when it comes to having fun. They need to start thinking in creative ways to have their MC experience stay enjoyable. It is not your task to do it for them.

I do not find this true, players can create their own fun in some ways but eventually you burn out. Most people use events but players don't have the resources or commands to build the huge events that are in world 3. Most players aren't even alowd to host these events, so they rely on the event hosts to keep events going for entertainment. Creating your own fun works for awhile but in the long run it can get boring.

There are approximately 16 different Events and minigames that are hosted by the EventHosts every week. There are a few that Manager+ can only host, and ofcourse host random Events every now and again that are different from the usual.
