As a result of being EULA compliant we are going to need to start doing some things we normally wouldn't do to earn the money needed to pay the bills.
For that, I decided to give a try to advertisement, on Survival first.
How this will work -> Every few minutes a link will pop up in chat containing an ad. If you click that ad you get a reward (ranging from particle effects, cookie or even a vote token) and in return SFT makes some money. This is probably not going to work (I spect us to make around $20 / mo which is not worth it) so in all likeliness it's for a month as a trial period.

The ads will pop up in game starting ~30 min from now ocne I'm done setting up the plugin

NOTE: How this works is, players will get rewards to click on ads.

With the EULA this is pretty much what the future looks like but imagine 10x more ads and tons of product placing. I'm not saying SFT will get liek that I'm saying Minecraft servers in general will get like that.

Clicking on an ad isn't hard, and it's a small price to pay to save SFT. Will definitely do it!

Added to pixelmon as well (@Dpa1991 check the config to see the rewards I made I think they aren't op. I stayed away from rare candies and stuff)

The ad revenue should hopefully be ~$50 / mo

All I do is click on the ad, and then go back to playing while the ad runs it's course. I am not affected by the ad being played, and it's an easy way to make money (both in-game and for the server).

Should this be in all of the servers? I don't really see a harm in it. IT is a little annoying, but i would way rather watch an ad than pay hard cash.

Just use a different browser, I think you could even type the url to the ad into a phone or device (though that's more effort)

If you have an ad blocker either disable it for that page or use another browser such as internet explorer / firefox etc. You can have multiple browsers!

It'll be really fun to be PvPing or drowning in lava then suddenly an ad comes on
