I don't want to sound condescending, but the majority of the people who play SFT don't have enough money to spend on their own clothes due to their age and school.

I know from experience that parents are not willing to give them money to support a virtual game as they were not born in the generation where this was readily available. I understand that it's vital to keeping the server alive but honestly the game is getting quieter and quieter. Minecraft has been around for what, 6/7 years (from early alpha), it's come a long way yes, but it's nowhere near as popular as it used to be. People who played it from the early staged aren't staying around as there's not much development in the game which lasts a long time (unless you count modpacks.)

Honestly downsizing may be the best idea if you're struggling with donations. The SFT community isn't huge so having a huge server to support a few people isn't really a necessity.

Again, I don't want to sound rude or anything.

Downsizing won't really be a sollution to our problems, it will just prolongue the suffering. I am aware not everyone can donate and I have made that abundently clear that it's perfectly ok and understandable. I am just asking those who can to do it.

I can't add discounts to b-team without upgrading our buycraft subscription which in turn would mean extra costs.

I'm not around much on sft anymore but I check the forums almost daily and this sucks to see. In my honest opinion expanding to a game with a larger, more active, player base may be the best option. Not going to name any servers but I'm currently admin on a dayz server that makes well over $400 monthly on just donations and we offer legitimately zero perks. If you build a good enough server the players will come, and they donate to keep it alive not for the perks.

@wahauger  - I would, I just dont have anyone to manage it and maintain it because let's face it, I don't play dayz so if i make it itd die soon without someone to maintain it.
That someone would have to know how to run a dayz server basically

I've recently completed an apprenticeship so my wages are expected to go up, I want to know how much is required per month.

Could we go any cheaper? Yeah. But that would put us in a vulnerable place where I have no desire to get as long as I am still in charge of SFT.
I don't know if you caught the period but a few years ago we were down for weeks/months and almost destroyed by a script kiddie with a booter.
Now we no longer have that problem as we have ddos prevention and mitigation and a bunch of amenities we didn't have before.
The $600 / mo budget also includes $150 / mo spendings on advertising because at this point, without advertising we are as good as dead.
ANd we are getting to the point where we can't afford to pay for advertising (eg: now)
