NOTE: The main server (PvE) now is restarted AUTOMATICALLY every TWO HOURS and if it's found to be down.
This was done so vehicles can spawn.

For example I had one last night that I hid to retrieve later, will it no longer be there.

Just curious and want to know what to expect, as it is what it is in order to keep vehicles spawning in the game.

From personal experience vehicles should not despawn. (But there was many people yesterday just taking cars even if the "owner" was right next to it) So someone might steal your car, but upon restart all loot respawns and new cars that blew up or didnt originally spawn (Such as the APC and other rare vehicles which only have a chance of spawning every restart/relog)

I have no idea. I have literally no control over the game (no admin commands, no settings) so whatever happens happens without my control/setting

does "Sync" mean, when you join the server, you have your items from Singleplayer?

If that's the case, I would like there to be no item sync on joining these servers as I can guarantee I'll lose my stuff

yep.
Sync is a very desired item. Also dying is part of the game. It happens. you'll find other items, maybe better ones.

I've just made a load of chests in Singleplayer, so everytime I want to play Multiplayer, I'll just load all my stuff into the chests

I think the cars and everything despawns. When I logged back in last night my cars were gone, which could be someone found them and took them but the base had all of its doors, blocked windows, etc gone.

Still fun though

When the server restarts is when all the loot, and cars respawn   Even if the car is parked away it will still respawn elsewhere

This is partially true, except the part about if the car is parked away. If you are losing vehicles that aren't destroyed someone either stole it or it was parked on a hill and it slid into the ocean. The only way a vehicle will respawn on restart if it's completely destroyed cars. Cars that smoke, flip over, or have no damage will not.

I'd like to remind you all that it's nto within my control what gets removed and when. I can't do anything else but start the server and stop it. Scout's honor! (not a scout)

Also has anyone noticed that it can be hard to get on sometimes?  I find it not too often anymore that the server is actually connectable :x

If you are having problems connecting and you are not the only one, contact me. The server may have crashed. It does that a lot. Not within my control, just alpha/beta software..
