this is just like the forum karma in 2011 all over again, when the answer is so very simple, people suggest to remove it instead. sigh

People giving out negative ratings that are warranted is not a problem. People that abuse negative ratings to antagonize somebody is the problem.

To be frank, there's always going to be somebody who abuses the system. Even after you reset the negative karma, I can guarantee that people will still target certain players and negatively vote their posts just because they're who they are (hope that makes sense.) Also, what determines a negative rating abuse or legit? What separates the abused ratings from the legit ratings? I would believe that sometimes it would be difficult to tell the difference.

And as Jyncs said, who really cares? It's just a number on your screen really.
