Heya everyone, just letting you all know that Map #2 / The Perks Update for the Rust server is live right now!
Starting this update we will be switching to a bi-weekly (every 2 weeks) wipe to keep things fresh and not stale. With it we will add be adding a ton of new things including the following this update:

  • Perks System - Perks that can be leveled up for ingame currency earned by being online! Check out all the perks by doing "/perks"!
  • Clan Leaderboards - We're introducing a new leaderboard (/ranks) that ranks players/clans in various categories!  The each member in the #1 ranked clan at the end of each wipe will when a prize!
  • Thunder-Poon - An early game raiding tool. Can be made by placing a beancan grenade on a wooden spear in your inventory/chest.
  • Events - Coming soon with various rewards such as cases, loot, etc.
  • Donation Goal - Each month we reach our donation goal we plan to do giveaways for premium shop rewards!


**Please note with this wipe we WILL be starting with a BP/Mapwipe then the next wipe just map, then bp/map again

So Rally and I have been talking and we're pretty sure from next wipe onward we're going to switch to a 2 week wipe cycle for the Rust server (still alternating blueprints only being reset every other wipe).  We've come to this conclusion because we think in the servers current state with 2x rates and kits/cases/guarded crates it's you can get to endgame far too quickly for a monthly cycle to retain everyone's interest.  It's either we change to the 2 week cycle or 2x rate needs to be removed and kit/cases/guarded crates will need to be nerfed (which I think would remove a lot of the fun in them).

Anyways, we were wondering considering we're at the 10 day mark now if you all would be ok with/want to switch to this new 2 week cycle early (once we hit the 2 week mark in 4 days), which would give you time to use what you've got to raid people for the next 4 days and then we can reset and implement our new changes.  Alternatively the nerfs mentioned above would likely have to be placed into effect, although this is the less optimal option as we cannot limit what everyone already has up to this point.

Let me know your thoughts and feelings on this and vote in the poll on which you'd prefer.  Also please don't vote if you either don't play on or intend to play on the Rust server! :)

Here's a quick guide to the commands you can use on the Rust Server:

  • /ally - Used to send a clan an ally request
  • /balance - Shows your current coins earned for playing on the server (they're earned for free and can be used on /shop)
  • /bandit - Teleports to bandit camp (has cooldown)
  • /buy - Brings up the Rust donator shop
  • /cases - Open your cases (lootbox), everyone gets a free case each day
  • /claim - Claim voting rewards
  • /clanhelp - Master command to manage your clan
  • /home - You can set a home a which you can only teleport to 5x every 24 hours
  • /info - Brings up a menu with all the information you need to know about our server
  • /kit - Everyone gets 1 free kit per wipe, VIP's also get 1 VIP kit per wipe
  • /outpost - Teleports to outpost (has cooldown)
  • /perks - Opens the player perks upgrade GUI
  • /q - Opens quest menu
  • /ranks - Opens the player ranks leaderboard
  • /refer <name or id> - Gives a reward to a player for referring you
  • /remove - Remover tool, instantly breaks an object (if you have permission to edit it) and refunds the resources
  • /report - Sends a player report directing to the server Admins, we also get send F7 reports on players
  • /shop - Shop where you spend your coins earned as a reward for actively playing (check coins anytime with /balance)
  • /tpr <player> - Sends a request to teleport to a player, you can only teleport to a player 5x every 24 hours
  • /tpa - Accepts a teleport request from someone, you can only teleport to a player 5x every 24 hours
  • /viphelp- Shows a list of donator exclusive commands
  • /vote - Lists available voting sites
  • /wipe - Gives a countdown to the next map wipe

**FYI all of this can be seen ingame by doing "/help" or "/viphelp" for a list of donator exclusive commands

There are 3 very simple ways to connect to our Rust Server:

  • Press the F1 button and type "connect rust.superfuntime.org"
  • In the modded servers type search for " SFT"
  • If you're on a PC with steam open, go to https://www.superfuntime.org/j/rust.php in your browser and it will launch Rust and directly connect you to our server!

**Be sure after you connect to press the escape button, click on the history button under "play game" and click the star next to our server to add it to your favorites so you can connect quickly next time!

Hey everyone!  It's time to officially announce that we have been working on an SFT Rust Server!  Rust is a fun multiplayer survival PvP game where the main object is to steal, loot or raid your way to the top either solo or with a team/clan while trying to survive the enemies and environment around you!  We have added a bunch of exciting features to help make the experience even more fun!

This is a bad mentality, and as Doggggeh said it we own the machines our servers are hosted on, so adding more costs nothing.  Most importantly however, Minecraft is (and unless something crazy happens will continue to be) a sinking ship in popularity and we cannot have long term sustainability if we just give up and don't even try to to get a foothold in other games.  Also I can tell you we heavily focus on current servers and it can only do but so much considering the sort of audience we cater to (there is very small interest in vanilla survival anymore).  Other games and trying new things is the way if we wanna be around for quite a while (we do).

The issue with that is that most things require a dedicated dev to write scripts for it to my knowledge.  If this isn't the case, and a server can be done with little to no prior knowledge I'd totally be down to make it, it's still a very fun game.

People said they were disappointed the first 'map' back in May 2020 ended so early. Personally I would agree, we should have a poll/announcement about how long we would want resets to last ahead of time, but we shouldn't set it in stone either because having a firm end date only demotivates people to play.

I think the reset should be 3-4+ months long as having it last only weeks leads to people being burned out towards the end. There should be enough time to make a faction, be competitive, get destroyed, be pissed off for a couple weeks and then come back to get your revenge and get the floor wiped with you again.

I don't think 15 man factions are really with the times, 10 players is a more reasonable number. 8 was low last time but im glad to have a debate.

-Events would be an awesome way to add PvP and encourage people NOT to sit at 20/20 Power at all times. One idea we've talked about is Glowstone Mountain (All-You-Can-Mine Glowstone, PvP For control over ~30 minutes) although I think the plugin is private, meaning we can't use it. some kind of event would be cool

-You could add a small area in spawn (or a warp) where The faction on top of /f top gets to build a shrine, resetting weekly or on 2-3 different days.

-Prot 5 Armor should be decided by a poll. We would also need an agreed-upon method of distribution for p5, i.e. will it be in the shop, will you get it for winning an event, will there be a limited number available, etc. Maybe 3 sets of p5 in the world?

-Have a functioning economy instead of the banana republic Evan thinks he can get away with apparently. Going to need sections for brewing, ores, food/farming, mob drops?, blocks,


-Give new joining players a short grace period (hours or a day) where they cannot be killed in pvp as long as they dont engage in pvp themselves. This would allow new players to not get destroyed instantly by someone named Emma



-Remove TNT 100% droprate on spawners- lower to 80% so that People cant skirt the FEE when they want to pick one up; fee should be increased as well

-Make sure spawners still DON'T stack

-Add fantasy plugins. ELITEMOBS was cool. Headshot sounds could be cool, fully customizable bow-headshot messages, damage, effects, armor reduction, etc.

Using /Market Send to give potions to teammates before TPing/Warping/Raiding was a GAME CHANGER, and made PvPing flow better, allowed you to be more creative because no need to return to base, and it was more rewarding if you're able to stay in the world for a long time without warping out. Obviously it was broken to store all your items, BUT, if there is a config to allow a limited number of items and disallow armor/books/rare items in general, then I believe 100% we should re-implement it.

I never responded to this so thank you for the suggestions.

  • I'm open to longer reset cycles, as long as people are still willing to play.  Previously my intention was to let it go until it seemed people had lost interested and then reset/update.
  • I'd be willing to have 10 person factions, the concern I was trying to address last time by making the number smaller is there not being only 2 full factions, which means no variety and you basically lose if you're not in one of those 2.  This as well leads to no competition if one of those 2 loses = 1 raid game over, you win.
  • I had intended to do events originally in the past, but among the constant issues and a lack of time/energy it didn't end up happening.  If people would show up and I have the time to do it, I can try to do some events.  But keep in mind I'm only one person, so I'm limited to what I can do.
  • I would like to have an actual F Top if I can find a decent plugin.
  • I'm ok with p5 or p6 if everyone else is (could be shop, vote crates, event rewards).
  • You helped me setup the economy smh, but yeah it's needs changing with a clear idea what it's meant to be based around.
  • Already have a grace period for new joins thing I could turn on.  I was thing about a few day server-wide grace to start as well.
  • Yeah agreed, people definitely abused the 100% drop rate.
  • Spawners don't stack.
  • Idk about EliteMobs, seems more annoying than anything.  Headshot sounds I can add.
  • I can turn on health bars in combat tag.
  • I'm cool with head drops/head bounties.
  • I'd rather not.
  • Steveco was abused af, maybe an alternative that costs some money.
  • I'm p sure in Auction House you can set it to return directly to inventory only.  I think a reading plugin would work better for this purpose, if I can find one.
  • Slimefun was a disaster with p10, and almost everything in it is overpowered lol.

Make McMMO have normal xp rates.  McMMO is such a fun plugin, I mean players used to join factions and exclusively do nothing but level McMMO because it feels rewarding to level and see that you're on top.  On Survival however, the xp rates are nerfed into oblivion to the point that I think even the 30x boost you do isn't even close to the normal xp rate, which I think is ridiculous if you consider how horrible the rates would be without the 30x boost. At that point it feels pointless and tedious to level to where I'm sure many, like myself, just gave up trying to level it.  I get that you don't want too fast progression and to counter that we could bring back the old prestige system so people can start over if they want, but in its current state there's no point bothering trying to level.

I agree with this as well, for transparency, we started a change in handling things near the end of last season where cheating bans were handled privately unless the situation was a public scenario that specifically required a public response (as people were constantly getting harassed over bans at the time) so that if someone did decide to make their ban public knowledge any resulting consequences would be on them.  As well at the same time we established new banning protocols regarding ban duration/when an unban is allowed.  Also if you have any specific situations of cheating that you know of that were never dealt with could you please dm me to refresh my memory?  I'd like to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Just wondering what feedback/requests/suggestions you guys have for future seasons of Factions and Prison (and duels, if you have any).

As said yesterday I'm not giving a timeframe on release of either until one has had significant progress, would just like to hear any feedback you have.

Duels Rules

Chat Rules:

1. Do not insult players or staff - Treat others how you would like to be treated.

2. Don't overuse or spam curse words - Curse words are allowed as long as they aren't directed at anyone or used in an excessive manner.

3. Don't use discriminatory language - Language that may be deemed offensive, such as: racism, sexism and homophobia are strictly forbidden.

4. Do not spam chat - Sending excessive messages is not allowed.

5. Do not advertise other servers - Advertising other servers unrelated to SFT is a bannable offence.

6. English only in main chat - Languages other than English can be used in private messages or chats, however main chat is English only.

7. A staff member's decision is final - While provoking is allowed, if a player is distressed and asks you to stop and/or a staff member tells you to stop in any situation and you continue to persist, this will result in time bans.

8. Ban evading - If you have been banned, logging in using an alt is not permitted.

A final note. -  As a general rule to go by, if you think what you're saying isn't right, you have bad intentions or you are close to breaking the rules, you probably are. Bear this in mind when disciplinary action is taken.



Server Rules:

1. No abusing glitches - If you find a glitch, please report it to a staff member privately. Using glitches to your own advantage is not allowed.

2. No hacked clients or cheating - The use of clients, mods, auto-clickers, or anything anything else that could be used to give an unfair advantage over other players is prohibited.

3. Do not use macros or autoclickers - Using any modifications to enhance your PvP skills such as autoclickers and macros are giving a massive unfair advantage and will result in a ban.



Server Info:

  • Enderpearls have a 10 second cooldown
  • You can connect using anything from 1.8-1.16; however, 1.8 clients will provide the best experience
