[How will this work:]

Thanks to Dpa, we are now close to adding a Towny World to survival.
Dpa has taken time to add and configure the Towny plugin to a test server of ours. camster is in charge of building a spawn town on the towny world and we will soon add it (we cannot guarantee a date at this time).

How will this work:
- A new world will be added. World4 (/w4 or /towny)
- The Towny plugin will be added and set to work only on this world and not existing ones
- The PvP plugin will be set to not moderate PvP on this new world
- World1 and World2 will remain towny-free worlds, and the gaming world as well
- Participating in the new World/Towny is completely optional!


What will the prices be?
- The prices will be somewhat prohibitive. We are trying to make this an exclusive world. Expect prices of 700k+ for creating a town.

What will the rules be?
- The world will be un-moderated. Anything but the chat will be un-moderated.
- You can participate for fame and glory, or just as a peaceful town. For a certain fee, you can be a peaceful town
- We will drastically punish any drama/issues that arise from people being sore losers

The Pixelmon Server was moved to another machine as the current machine exhibited I/O issues.
The new machine has SSD RAID and a newer operating system so hopefully this will help a bit with the lag.

[What is Vanilla Powered?]

Vanilla Powered - Expect the Impossible!

What is Vanilla Powered?
- It's a modpack and server put together by Dpa1991 and TowelieDOH that will start from the vanilla survival concept and add to it. What will be in it : Mods that add new blocks/mobs/areas/dunegons, quests and so on.

Vanilla Powered is not:
- A replacement for B-Team or Tekkit. It's a new concept. We won't be having IndustrialCraft or Equivalent Exchange or other mods that overcomplicate  the gameplay.

When will it be ready?:
- We do not have a date at the moment. It's work in progress. For the best results, we will not be working under pressure and we will not give a clear date

We'll give you more info when it's nearing completion!

The SFTMMO /hard mode has been toughened up a bit after players suggested so.
So try it out, and see if you can face the challenge!

Thanks to Dpa1991, I have installed an update to the Warp plugin.

NOTE: The plugin doesn't support spaces in warp names. All warps with spaces have been converted! Instead of spaces we now use underscores. If your warp was named "test warp" it will now be "test_warp"

The most important change (which I felt was needed for somet ime):
- The warp cooldown/warmup were removed. Warps are now instant
- I have raised the limit to 20 public + 20 private warps per player
- If riding a horse, your horse will also be teleported
- The warp plugin is now UUID-compliant. This means that if you change your name, you will have the warps on your new name.

At the moment it is UNOBTAINABLE, however, it will be added soon to the premium shop and vote shop (premium shop first though). To open these Rare crates, you wil need a Rare SteveCo Key (also unobtainable at the moment, it will only be available via the premium shop)

There was an issue that caused it to only get crates #15 and #16 from voting. This was now fixed and it was a config error on my end.
In addition to that, I have boosted the vote tokens, you now get 50% more vote tokens in tiers 3, 4 and 5

A new command has been added that allows you to repair SteveCo Items -> /steveco repair.
It will consume a SteveCo key when repairing an item and it doesn't work with items that have SFTMMO stuff on them.

PS: Thank you darknuju for all your work in this!

Mob catcher - the plugin that allows you to catch farm animals and mobs by throwing eggs at them - is now back!
It will cost 5000 EmpBucks per captured farm animal and 10000 per aggresive monster (just like it was before).

The B-Team server was moved to a new host. The new host has similar specifications to the old host, but we had to replace it as the old server had stability servers.
I have performed multiple stress tests prior to moving the server so there should be no other problems from now on (random machine restarts and so on).

As some of you may know, Minecraft 1.8.2 was launched today by Mojang.
It contains some performance improvement and re-done TNT explosion physics.
It is safe to use this version on our Network as it's backwards compatible with 1.8 and 1.8.1
I recommend that you update, as it will boost your performance a bit.

After a brief discussion with our developers, we have determined the best way to deal with the SteveCo Crates's loss of value and failure to provide a viable economy sink hole

Introducing, SteveCo Rare Crates (work in progress) - These crates (and SteveCo Rare Keys) will only be available from the vote shop (/vs). They will contain considerably more valuable items (either we figure out a way for you guys to /repair steveco items, then we can keep also giving out leather armors, or we will just stick to diamond armor (which sadly does not allow for customization), and also other rare items such as dragon eggs, and beacons (obviously, on a very low chance so as to not ruin us). They will also have a lower chance of a FailPrize (down to 3x less than the current crates).

darknuju is currently working on adding these new Rare Crates into the plugin. We don't have an estimation of how much it will take, but we'll keep you posted!


PS: This will also mean that for a while, we will not be adding any more normal SteveCo crates, and just Rare ones.

Servers that we have tried in the past and didn't work -> DayZ, Counter-Strike, Battlefield
Game types that I would like to avoid -> First person shooters and any kind of other game servers that don't allow us to customize them and make something unique.

The Slimefun item Sword of Beheading has been disabled due to an exploit.
It allowed to get player heads despite the chance being set to 0%

I will report this bug to the plugin maker and it will be re-enabled when this is fixed.

FrameProtect will be disabled today. You should quickly reprotect your armor stands / item frames using LWC (cprivate then punch them).
Why not wait until the announced date? Because FrameProtect and LWC conflict so basically, as long as FrameProtect is loaded, you cannot protect armor stands / item frames with LWC.
Also, because I am receiving reports of more harm than good done by FrameProtect (armor stands disappearing, item frames disappearing, lag, etc).

So basically this is an emergency.

PROTECT YOUR ITEM FRAMES / ARMOR STANDS ASAP WITH LWC TO BE SURE THEY ARE SAFE!

[What you have to do:]

Survival is switching to a new protection plugin - LWC that protects pretty much every container, including item frames and armor stands.
For the next two weeks (until february 23rd), the old protection plugin (SFTBolt) will run in parallel, however, after that day, both SFTBolt and FrameProtect (the plugin that currently protects item frames) will be removed.
Also if you are the owner of a region you can now do /rg info or /rg i to check all of the members on your protection to make sure you know all the people you are entrusting your land and chests to.

What you have to do:

- For new chests - you don't need to do anything. This will automatically protect any new chests
- For doors - just type /cprivate and then left click on the door.
- For existing chests, type /cprivate and then left click ON EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR CHESTS. By the way, this will only work if you are the owner of that region. All the members on the region, will also have access to your chest then (if you do not desire that,  you may remove users by using the command /cmodify -<nickname> (yes, that's a minus symbol before the name), or password protect your chest using /cpassword <your password>
- For existing and new item frames / armor stands, it's the same -> /cprotect then left click on it

NOTE: This new plugin can even protect minecarts (same /cprivate then left click on it). This will mean that other players cannot use your minecarts but will not mean that minecarts don't get removed at lag cleanups.
At this time I do not know how to un-protect a minecart so i advise not trying this for now.

Oh yeah, to un-protect (any block) just type /cremove and left click on the block.

NOTE: This does not affect WorldGuard protections. This only affects chest protections and other containers.


Pro Tip #1
If you have hundreds of chests, type /lwc mode persist on then type /cprivate then you can left click on all your chests to protect them, without having to type /cprivate all the time.
Afterwards, when you're done, just type /lwc mode persist off

Pro Tip #2
Type /cinfo then left click a chest to learn if it's protected or not


I would like to thank dpa for suggesting LWC since two years ago.

Please re-protect your item-frames and armor stands by SHIFT+LEFT CLICKING on them.
The plugin that protected them lost its database as part of an update so everything will need to be re-protected else it's vulnerable.

I spent most of the day working on changes to our premium shop. While we didn't have many problems until now, this month the purchases have slowed down and i decided to try and reduce the prices of non performing packages and maybe add new ones (still waiting for ideas for those)

[How to join:]

People of SFT, your help is needed!

There is a new Pixelmon version out there, and dpa is ready with the update, however, it needs EXTENSIVE TESTING before added on the live server. Some concerns caused us to not promote this as the default version and instead to make it a BETA version.
This is where you come in: we need your help testing this version. Dpa has put together a test server, so all you have to do is join this beta version, join the server found in favorites and report any major bugs you encounter in this thread.

PS: In the past, when asked not a lot of people have helped us but we really need it this time, so please, if you have 20 minutes free, we would really appreciate it and it's for the future of SFT!

How to join:
Step 1: Launch the Technic launcher
Step 2: Go to "Modpacks" and then select "SFT Pixelmon"
Step 3: On the top right of the launcher click on the little cog that says "Modpack options"
Step 4: Change to "Specific version" and select "3.4.0BETA" as depicted in the image below




NOTE: Dpa's internet is currently suspended (as he is moving in a new place) and he only has some 3G (phone) internet traffic (very little), so he can't come in-game / test himself due to that.
Report any big bugs that you encounter (and are not present on the normal server) here.
PS: You will have your real pokemon on this test server but they will not sync to the real server. So basically you can use them for testing.

To join the live server, you will have to switch the option back to "Recommended Version" else you won't be able to join the normal SFT Pixelmon server!

[What it does:]

Some of you guys will remember the /betxp plugin. I am sure about that because a lot of you protested its removal and continuously asked me back for it.
Well, today, when looking for an old backup i stumbled upon a copy of BetXP (or SFTGamble as it's named).
I tested it and it seems to work very well



What it does:
- Allows you to gamble your xp levels and either win or lose xp levels via /bxp
- Shows you a global status for that day using /gstats
- If it seems like you are losing a lot, that's normal. The system works glboally. A player loses 100 xp levels, another wins 100.

You should not use the plugin if:
- You are under 18
- You have a gambling problem

Suggest new premium shop items that you think we should add to our premium shop.

Bear with us please. We're stressed and overworked due to the whole Name Changing thing and working on other stuff too. I'm not talking only about myself but about everyone involved in this (dpa, fear, darknuju, I).
It may seem that we aren't doing a great deal lately but we are working a lot behind the scenes.
I'm asking that you cut us some slack and bear with us. The feature you want isn't being added or the problem you reported didn't get fixed? It will, just please have a bit of patience.

To help the situation, please have a bit of common sense and don't be insensitive (such as changing your name into a certain inappropriate name).

[How to do it:]

If you change your minecraft nickname please make your personal text "IGN - youringamenickname".
I'm seing a lot of people changing their nicknames and it's getting harder and harder to know who's who.

How to do it:
#1 Go here
#2 In your "Personal Text" field, put "IGN - yournickname", in this exact format
#3 click save

You have 30 days to comply else we will do it for you and you will be wanred.

PS: If you have more than one account, put the one you use the most.

The following servers were discontinued starting now:

- Bread & Butter (may come back later if saywhat wants to work on it, but for now it's to be considered as removed)

NOTE: At this moment, we do not support name changing. If you change your name it will be at your own risk, and we refuse to transfer any progress. We are working towards implementing name changing support but until then, we do not support it.

[How to protect:]

Good news everyone! With the help of a new plugin, it is now fully safe to use Armor Stands and Item Frames!
However, you will have to protect your item frames and armor stands.

How to protect:
SHIFT + Left Click to protect/unprotect your armor stand / item frame

What does it protect?
It will protect the item frame / armor stand, as well as the item in it. It protects from mob damage / arrow damage / tnt damage / sword damage and so on.
In the event that they are some how destroyed, your armor stand / item frame and the items they contain will be automatically respawned at the next server restart (usually once / 24h)

Who can protect?
Any Member+ can protect their item frames / armor stands

Info about abuse
If you abuse this new feature (by placing protected item frames / armor stands on other player's properties), you will be punished. You will receive a timeban, and you will permanently lose the ability to protect item frames / armor stands.
NOTE: All mods+ can destroy all item frames / armor stands, regardless if they are protected or not. I have done this so it's easy to fight abuse.

The Unturned server was moved to a new machine. However the IP remains the same, and your builds should still be there.
I personally tested the server and zombies/cars/loot work.

Thank you for attending our public test for the Mario Kart server the other day!
We have now progressed into Beta stage for this server.

Changes since yesterday:
- Both maps have been widened
- Item drops have been re-distributed around the map, now with 3 in a row so everyone gets one
- Starting grid has been changed, it is now more fair towards those that start in the last positions (difference between first and last is just a row)
- Fixed problems with the economy plugin not letting players buy upgrades
- Work in progress on a third course - Rainbow Road
- Added various boosters and obstacles (IRON BLOCK = jump, GOLD BLOCK = slight boost, DIAMOND BLOCK = heavy boost, EMERALD_BLOCK = decrease speed
- Patched the courses with itemframes so races can no longer go out due to added jump blocks
- Gave the plugin and source to darknuju so he can fix some of the bugs/glitches present in the plugin

- Researching the possibility to make certain website parts load/work faster.
