I came across this cool plugin today which allows furniture to be added on an unmodded minecraft server via armor stands and a little hacks.
I haven't tested it yet, so I don't even know if it works.

Will definitely test tonight, my main concerns are:

#1 Does it work?
#2 Does it allow item duping or free spawning?
#3 Does it break the server / crash players?

As soon as I get an answer to all three questions (hopefully tonight), I'll let you guys know.
Hopefully, it will work out and we'll be able to add this on survival xD

PS: You can sit in the chairs/sofa/etc.
Sadly there are about 5-6 pieces of furniture atm, but the dev said he will add more.

I didn't use a Plugin but a Vanilla Mod. You can check it at the following link; it works with command blocks and it uses Armour Stands as well.

The thing is that these furnitures are made by hundreds of Armour Stands, and Armour Stands are Entities, and Entities lag...

i agree back when i started out my server i wanted to have something like this but it crashed my server o-o (not a 24/7 server) and had to reset it.
