So I've been thinking about this for some time, and we needed something to enable players and staff to talk more about the smaller things, and get them to start conversations in the global chats, and local.

JohnOaklyjohn and myself present the player interactivity quiz, which is where you will be on the hunt for players and staff to find out something you didn't know about them!

Plus who doesn't like winning 500k emp, right?


How this works:
- There will be a list of 25 statements, and you are to find someone in game which applies to that, and post a screenshot which looks something like this.

It's back! Well although it may be quite different from how you remember it, as this was last done by Connor a few years ago.

About
So this event is about playing in a series of different events over the course of time, which will all be playable/hosted for 2 days at a time. Each player can play in each event 5 times, to win points.

We have a few people hosting for this tournament in a range of timezones, to ensure we can allow the most people as we can to play.

Scoring
Each event must have a minimum of 5 players, to make it fair. 3 points are given for 1st, 2 for 2nd and 1 for 3rd. So the maximum one player could possibly score for one event at a time is 9. If you don't get in a top 3 position, then that takes up one of your tries. The points are low to stop people getting first being too game changing and making it harder for others to catch up.

This will be tracked in a spreadsheet, to see who has played in what event. You can see an example for one of the events here.

As you know, the 1.9 update on SFT survival, turned all heads into skeleton skulls. Unfortunately, there isn't anyway for us to tell what these heads were, or for them to return to their normal state.

Managers are happy to help replace your heads, however something was mentioned as a potential exploit for getting more heads and selling them on. Players can buy skeleton skulls for around 25k, place them on a wall, and ask a Manager to change them to a player head.

I am informing you that as staff, we can check if you have placed these skulls just to do this. This is rather unfair, as a skeleton head is worth 25k on average, and if changed to a player head (these can be bought from Managers+ for 1mil), can create a 975k profit, which could be used to break the economy.

If you do this, and are caught, you will be severely punished.

So as you know, the pets plugin was recently replaced with a new plugin called battlepets, a similar concept to pokemon, where you can train a pet up and battle the pets of other players. This left me with the thought that a tournament for this would be pretty cool. We also have an arena built specifically for battle purposes, so this will be taking place there. This will be hosted by myself and Stancrazie.

How does this work?
For everyone applying, they will be put into a bracket, and it will work in 1v1 style. However there will be 2 brackets, and you will be put into either one of them depending on the stats of your pet. This is so level 1 pets aren't getting one hit killed, to keep it fair. If you sign up and don't turn up, someone else may take your place. If you turn up late, there is no guarantee you will be able to play.

When is it?
Saturday 19th March, 8pm GMT.

About
So since I finished my latest build, a fully functional 18 hole minigolf course on the SFT survival server, I thought it'd be cool to host a small tournament, giving players the chance to compete against each other for the lowest score!

How it works
It's done with ice, and snowballs. Dropping the snowball with "q" (or other keys if you've changed your settings) and it slides across the ice. You then pick it up from where it lands and go again, and keep going till you get in the hole.

What are the rules?
- Landing out of bounds means you must go back to where you were when you took that shot.
- Landing in water also has the same consequences.
- No cutting/going over walls.
- No jumping.
- No cheating, these games will be hosted by picked members of staff.

How?
So this will be a 1v1 bracket tournament. So once signups have closed (they will close once I feel there are a suitable amount of entrants), and you and your partner are seen online, you will be called to play by a host. They will watch to ensure you follow the rules and play properly, and also keep score. The lowest score can advance to play someone else.

What do I win?
The winner at the end will recieve a grand 2.1mil emp! Donations accepted.

So this is a new idea I had, and with the positive feedback I had from people, it's going to happen! This is a building contest, with a difference, it's a bracket tournament, and is taking place on survival. Each round has a different theme to change things up a bit, and will last between 20-30 minutes, and teams of 2 only, however if you really want to go by yourself, you can. However you still need a team name. The winners of each part will progress to the next round, and play another team of 2.

A MAXIMUM OF 32 (16 TEAMS OF 2) CAN SIGN UP SO FIRST COME FIRST SERVED. IF THERE IS HIGH DEMAND, TEAM SIZES WILL BE INCREASED.

CURRENT PRIZE STANDS AT 500,000 EMP.

How does a bracket work, you say? Here's an example.
Say 16 people sign up. The winner of each part progresses to the next round. And with each round having a theme, it'd look a bit like this.
