Just my opinion, but I'd say even for the sake of nostalgia, let's not bring back these items. It would/could lower the value of the original steve co. items, and items that could have been special/precious to owners of first wave items will be flooded with duplicates, thus the items will lose some value to their owners. For example, I treasure my Scottish Claymore, and if more came on the market, I wouldn't treasure it as much anymore.

I see where you are coming from. However, I don't mean to bring back the exact same items. If these were added, the descriptions would be a different color and there would be no "Strange Weapon #". Also, with all these "knockoffs" going around, it would make the originals worth even more.
