I'm not exactly sure if I have anxiety or not. I freak out in situations people don't usually freak out in. I'll describe one instance to you. During a pep rally at school I sat down in the upper row. I hate pep rallies especially since I usually sit alone. I was nervous because I hate being by myself. I began to breathe heavily and just panic overall. My heart starting breathing loudly to the beat of the band and I was somewhat jolty. Well this time students I didn't know sat all around me. Which somewhat made it worst. I tried my best to not make any sudden movements and just silently panicked on the inside. I suck at dealing with social situations, again not sure if this is anxiety.

That would most likely be an anxiety attack, yeah. At least from what I've experienced and heard from other people with anxiety.

    What are some experiences that you've had, due to anxiety?   

For me, I tried to give blood a couple of years ago, and as I was taking the exam to see if I was eligible or not, I began to see the lights fade and I was extremely dizzy. I then almost fell out of my chair and had to crouch over the trash can because I was horribly sick to my stomach. The Red Cross nurse then saw me almost blacking out, so she had to lay me down on a gurney and put cold towels on my head and neck, and I had to lay there for about 20 minutes before they let me leave.

Another experience is when I was first beginning to drive and I was in Northern California (so it wasn't familiar to me), and we were driving into a canyon and I was begging my mom to drive because I was nervous that I would crash, but she kept telling me that I'd do fine and that I needed to practice. But I then began to cry and I couldn't breathe because I was just worrying so much that eventually I just had to pull over and walk for a minute or two so that I could calm down. It seems kinda ridiculous, but idk, I was just having an anxiety attack.

The only reason, as a Canadian, that I would prefer that Trump wasn't the President is simply because one of the first things he wants to do is look at the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) which could be damaging to the Canadian economy, as if it isn't hurting enough already.

That and the fact that Canada doesn't really support a Republican party. All of our political parties are left wing, some more central then others, obviously.

I am actually for this. Sorry. But it has been shown that trade from Canada and Mexico to the US has increased while trade leaving the US has declined a lot. What this means is we are importing more goods for us to consume than us exporting. If we are not exporting goods then we are not manufacturing goods, if we are not manufacturing goods then we are not gaining/keeping jobs.

I am fully against Trump for who he is as a person and the way he has depicted himself, but I do like some of the ideas he has planned to complete within his first 100 days. We have another pacific something or other trade agreement which also hurts us as a company.

I have personally seen the results of our manufacturing jobs leaving the country. My home town was thriving 30K population town. I can think of 3 major factories(Television plant, Chevy/GMC plant, and a glass factory) not including the smaller factories and companies that helped to support those. Lots of general labor jobs making decent money at the time. After Nafta I told people the jobs would leave and they didn't believe me or thought it would be a good thing to try and build up Mexico's economy and it would help ours. One by One 2 of the 3 major factories left. Glass factory is gone because it was cheaper to make these products elsewhere, TV factory left because it was cheaper to make them elsewhere. GM Plant stayed but no one was retiring/leaving the company(and still do not) because it is all there was left. My home town then fell fast. Now it still has 30K people, but no jobs, no jobs means people had to find more ways to support their families. Crime increased and now it is not safe to live there any longer.

So I really disagree with Nafta and do wish it gone. I hate that it would hurt other countries, but we also need to look to help ourselves first before we help others.Which is partially why Trump won, the middle class feels like it is getting ignored by the status quo and wanted to show politicians that we need change.

NAFTA and the TPP are an absolute burden on the United States. @Jyncs said it perfectly. These free trade agreements only boost the economies of other countries, and bring down the number and quality of manufacturing jobs in the United States.

As you know, I am a strong liberal, but Trump is playing this card right. I'm actually curious to see if he can rearrange these trade agreements to put American jobs before globalization.

Update on Post-Election America

Today at school, I could physically feel the division that the election had caused. I live in a majority Republican county, so there are plenty of Trump supporters at my school. There was even a kid who brought an American flag and was standing on a lunch table at snack, waving it around screaming "USA! USA!". All day, it has been a nightmare just thinking about Donald Trump being the next president. Students are scared, and not just liberals or Democrats, but everyone. Kids with undocumented parents, siblings, or family members now worry that someone will take their loved ones away.

And to clarify, I am fucking tired of people saying that undocumented immigrants are "lazy who live off of welfare", but if you'd take the time to you know, DO RESEARCH, you would find that they are a massive portion of our agricultural work force, economy, etc. They also pay over $12,000,000,000 (yes, that's $12 billion) in state and local taxes. To add onto that, undocumented immigrants can't even receive welfare. The only benefits they receive is basic healthcare and a free K-12 education for their children.

So we have to ask ourselves, are we going to be a country that is so uncomfortable with the thought of people coming to the United States for a better life, that they'd literally risk everything just to get here. Or are we going to be a nation that has open arms to those who want to come here to simply escape the hell that they're coming from, so that they can have a chance to reach their dreams?

You decide.

Then I'd gag-inducingly choose Clinton. I severely dislike her because she's a corrupt and ultra-establishment person who takes in money from foreign countries, Wall Street, and just can't seem to do things right. She also worked with the DNC to rig the Democratic Primaries so that she would be lined up to win, and Bernie Sanders would lose, and for that, I hate her.

But then again, Trump is an absolute piece of garbage that should be nowhere near the White House. This election is the true definition of the lesser of two evils.

All of the candidates are jokes, but I disagree with you not including Third Parties. They need all the support they can get so that they can get off the ground and become an actual strong party with a chance at the White House.

I feel that this thread is severely unneeded, as this is a GAMING community. But hey, just my opinion.

People have a variety of interests, and this is Off-Topic, so it deserves to stay here. If someone doesn't like politics, then they can simply leave.

Still have no clue why people don't look to the "Third party" and calling them a "joke" is absurd. Clearly we have people in this community (and so far it honestly seems like the younger players, the ones who can't vote) brush off any third party candidate. Just saying that learning a thing or two about politics might actually sway what way you vote, not just taking what the internet thinks into account, or how your family might think. Take your own approach.

I've also been seeing a whole lot of people calling politicians "corrupt" so I'd like to link a CGP Grey video and let you understand WHY people become corrupt.

I agree but I think bringing it back without doing it properly would be even worse than not having it at all,so time care and attention needs to be spent doing it well and not rushing it out because of the hype around it right now

Yeah, I've been saying that it should only be brought back as long as it is run with strong-willed staff members, and a strong staff team.

Cat people are soooooo defensive about cats. I think it's because a lot of people are dog people (or at least vocal about it), so they feel like the minority of the pet-loving world. Idk

It's because cats are the best and they're easy to take care of. Also, it's estimated that there are 70-80 million dogs and 74-96 million cats in the United States, so we are the majority. I think the reason why we are so defensive, is because they often have very similar traits that they share with cats. Studies show that cat people tend to be more introverted, while dog people tend to be more laid back. It doesn't make either one better than the other, but cats are often much more adorable when they are cuddley kittens because they are so soft omg. 

I've never been on them before, but if they are deserted, then yeah, take 'em down.
