Had dinner, had to run another errand. It's now 7:47pm and I have to run another errand in 2hrs, so I am going to try and launch the server within the next two hours.

That's what i normally do, minus the walmart, i just eat oranges and apples or any other fruit and veggie available to me, and i power down coffee or tea.
Well, Don't push yourself.(cus i cannot stop you) But if yarr gonna overnight this watch netflix while doing it. music even loud music can eventually put you to sleep. watch a funny or action packed film or show(like family guy)

 Just get some sleep eventually(but no more then 9 hours, because thats not good for ya)

Regardless of whether the server is considered new or old, the main mod on the server, Pixelmon, is discontinued. Meaning it will become outdated with newer versions of Minecraft and eventually become stale and buried. I think it's a good idea to look for alternatives instead of putting more work into something that will soon become obsolete.

Rationaly thinking yes, but, wether You belive it or not, people love pixelmon that much that its the only thing Holding them here (and no thats not just me thats 8 other active players that have stated that this was the case for them too).... So yes looking for alternatives would probs be the better idea and still saying "screw pix" will upset people... Instead @Dpa1991 You could Cycle through diffrent themes with your modpack to keep it interesting, and yes as much as you hate it, flans will eventualy have to be a Part of the modpack (seing as pretty much every Suggestion from a new player is "add flans!")

I'm just gonna say this. I love new mods, i like seeing things paired with pixelmon, But flans has no place in pixelmon, Pokemon has shown few to no guns, and stuff like that.(yes i've seen the anime and know of banned episodes and scenes)
I could see a cars and planes mod being added, but not flans, Its nice, but doesn't fit.

Its popular, but can be laggy and is big, putting it with pixlemon, which is one of the biggest mods(rip) Would be buggy and probably too much.

Also, Saying it "Has" to be part is kind of ignorant. I'm sure you mean well, but it is worded kind of rude.

I think updating completely could result in a better chance of getting by, but some computers cannot handle the update. my pc personaly can handle the modpack. (tnx thep2002)

if none of the extras can be added, or if its just one, work with what you can get. personally, I'm curious if most of the current mods have updates for 1.11 however.(I don't care about the tails mod if thats still in)

You should of made a post saying you were shutting down sft, but you should of posted it 8 days ago, saying "Everything will be shut down in 8 days" and today you should of done something with that(for like 3 hours turn all the servers off, and make the website unavailable,idk something troll), Everyone expects this kind of stuff today, but when you screw with people before then, its waaaay more fun. XD

It was only a matter of time, waker me up when Twilight ends,  and look skyward towards the Mask of the Ages(anyone see what I did there?) , I would love to check this out,  but I'm moving and my laptop is packed, hopefully something to resist guardians... I have 16 heart containers but I'm still having troubles. 

I tried for days and weeks to fix my PC problems to load in, but couldn't so I just helped from the side.

Whatever Eula has to say about that, If you bought it before the rule was "enforced" then your fine, I assume since this is a different sever(Reset/Update), those aren't allowed carry over.
However, Commands we CAN give will remain.(Or will just not)

@Dpa1991 will have to be the one to say whether or whether not whats happening with this.

Legacy Server Reset- Bring over 6 pokemon however, They cannot reclaim the donations of pokemon and Items, If they have a problem with this, tell them these things happen, they bought pokemon and items which will/could of been lost to the world, Items break and pokemon are sold and kept as trophies(I am one of these)

I'm sure perms can remain the same.

also, with legacy, adding some things every once in awhile till it dies off couldn't hurt, After everything updates, I am one of those people stuck, and can then help with legacy.

Hi, I am a recently returning player, i have 780 hours - give or take a few hours - on the server total since late 2013 (December, and was banned for about a year due to reasons that you can look at in my unban request) after playing for about 3 hours and reading lots of forum posts, here is what I can tell about the Pixelmon server.

1) It is, much like the Pokemon games, pointless after a point. In the games it's when you beat the Elite 4, in the server its after you have played for 100-ish hours and have: Lots of good Pokemon, a giant base, and all the resources you could ever want.

2) Because of reason 1 your players leave to go play something with more variety.

So then to fix this I would recommend doing some things you probably don't want to do, due to "Trying to be as close to the games as possible". Here is what i would suggest:

1) Add to your mod pack something absolutely massive, the Aether, a magical forest, SOMETHING to keep players interested in the game after that initial 100-ish hours, because honestly unless the person is willing to spend ALL of their resources on a ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE BUILD they are going to get bored, tick the completed box, and leave.

2) Have ACTUAL events, and make them last say a week or a weekend. Again something big though. have the Event host team go into a world and build a full event, with prizes. I am talking a full scale beat 8 gyms and the elite 4 in a weekend. Or even bigger than that. Just make sure there is variety, because otherwise people will leave.

3) If you are going to do the reset, do what the community voted for, but PLEASE set a date, and make sure everybody and their mother knows. post it in the communities other servers, post it on the server, post it on the forums, tweet it, Facebook, Vine. Make sure they know, because nothing is more frustrating that not knowing and joining and all your stuff is gone, then when you find out you could have kept stuff, not being able to keep the right stuff.

4) If you do the first thing, restrict it to a certain amount of hours, like you do with ranks. Say you have to have 125 hours, or a certain gym leader rank, or any number of things to regulate it.

5) Make it easier to obtain money in game, i know this sounds like it'll ruin the economy but really it will improve, let everyone have auto shop permissions. Based on when i used to play, what would happen is people that had lots of money ran shops, the problem came when MASSIVE auto shops would stomp out player run shops because the people running the player run shops had to be there. So making money was hard unless you donated for auto-shop perms, or had mass amounts of needed resources to sell to the spawn auto shop.

6) Make this communities other servers aware of Pixelmon, i don't play any of the other servers because unless i search for the IPs to them in the forums, id never know.

7) At the very least add something that adds more GOALS to achieve, if it's ambiguous but still adds new content and things to do, then its perfect. ie the things i mentioned in the first thing.

Well worded, I would like to see what else you can come up with once you get back into the pixelmoning, Most of these are being done
As for player run shops, i don't think we can give those out to everybody, But I think maybe Gym6/7 or something along those lines could get it.
For Number 7, Finding Mods that both fit in both figuratively and compatibly isn't the easiest thing due to not many mods being for 1.10
(and 1.11 to make sure updating won't be hectic)
For Number 5, the easier it is to make money, the less its actually worth, Keeping the eco balanced and well run keeps things in tact, im sure there will be 100s of ways to make money.
For Number 6, We are, Broadcasts, letting other people know ETC
For Number 2, Events get tiring for players after awhile, coming up with new ideas and something big isnt the easiest thing, However, I think taking a page out of Survivals book and letting certain events hosted by a couple of Hosts+ for big winnings would help out, we used to do this building contest thing, whatever happened to it, not sure, but I think that brought attention and something to do.
For Number 1, Pixelmon is a very large mod in its own, Adding a BIGGER or as BIG mod makes it hard to load, not everyone is a computer wiz with a perfect PC.

Hm, I like the idea for option 3 however but I was thinking say someone donated for more than 6 legends and was only able to bring over 1 or 6, well what if they got worried that a reset might happen again and refrain from donating due to not wanting to spend money and than lose what they got from it?

Its simply telling them, a reset won't happen again unless absolutely necessary, And if say a reset to 1.11 is needed to be done, chances are Pokemon can still be transfered. Even if they don't ask, others will, or will donate anywho.

Just a general question, what if you're like me. A guy whose six Pokemon he wants to keep are all legendaries. You have my word that they'll never be sold because I care for them too much and have had them for too long. Would someone like me be able to bring his little friends over to the new land?

If you brought them over we could trust you,  but then we have to bring over someone else's because they promise the same thing,  but they could just sell them all.
I'm sure bought products will be restored(within 6 months) 
I cannot say for Dpa, but I think a Pokemon reset could just keep the server dramaless, and the let the eco have a steady start.

Even with his hard drives dead, finding mods/plugins also bugs (if the server is still up)  can be done. Testing will have to wait,  It's not that progress has stopped, just slowed down.

Just thought of an issue regarding ranks if I move to pix 1.8.9/1.10.2-1.11.2.

We are currently using PermissionsEx, if we update we would have to create an entirely new permissions problem so I don't know how I'd go about carrying over thousands of players ranks/permissions. Much more to figure out

I think a rank reset would give old players something to do, instead of remaining the same ol ranks and just going to through the ranks faster
 Changing some of the ranks we currently have like the starter ranks, Changing them to other starters or something new altogether.
Adding a couple of new ranks like something after Elite4(or the same as) like survival and its tycoon rank. after a couple months, redo the Champion Rank thing, im sure theres an admin or even someone who could host this once every one or two months, changing the rules every so often to add diversity. adding a rank that is higher then elite4(not including champion and staff ranks) that gives things like chestshop perms, could be that it needs 2000 hours and X amount of money. this could help keep those people who've crawled through the ranks help with keeping shops alive.
There are alot of ways this could work out.

Now for the donor ranks, isn't there a way to see who donated in the past 6months, and just give them back in their ranks?
I'm sure theres a way to grab a list of people who have said rank and just give them their rank back.

I've spent 15 days finding stuff, testing mods and making sure it fits in, but i have constant problems, including it takes awhile for me to just use single player(glitches and opstuff) due to me only having a max 10 fps which is usually at 1 and constantly freezing(also some sicknesses. but those are past)
and recently i lost everything i had due to (im not even sure what happened lol, but my setup is completely gone)


I think a small team of people to help out with this stuff, testing/finding stuff and some who know how to fix problems.
