[What is the difference between world 1/2 and Vet world?]

Hello all you wonderful players! Today I bring you some news.....

Some of our older players may remember a few years ago we had a world that was for those who held Veteran+ ranks.

We have decided to bring it back!

So for those of you who are newer and have no idea what Vet world was by all means please keep reading.

What is the difference between world 1/2 and Vet world?

Players can not just build anywhere in Vet world, (well technically they can but there are some rules.)
Players can only build within their own protected land whereas in worlds 1/2 they can build anywhere and then have their stuff protected by a Mod+. By doing this, it keeps the world clean, less restarts (if any) so there will be much less of a hassle of having your builds moved.

How can I get a protection in Vet world?

For starters, you must be a Veteran+..200 hours on Survival and /rankup Veteran.
Once you go to Vet world you can go around and find the perfect spot to call home and then call a Mod+. Now one thing to keep in mind is that Mods can only do the initial 50x50 protection for you but only Manager+ can do expansions. To get to Vet world just do /vetworld

Can I share with my friends?

In the past we had allowed players to combine plots. This is not the case this time around. In the event of a falling out we have decided it best to keep plots separate. Now if you and your friends want to be close to each other that is completely fine but both parties must agree.

How close can other players build to each other?

With the exception stated above, players cannot be any closer than 50 blocks from another plot.

What happens to my stuff if I go inactive?

Vet world rules of inactivity are a bit different than worlds 1/2. So you can be assured your builds are safe from removal, there is a 6 month inactivity period before anything will be removed. Now, with that being said if you are going to be inactive for an extreme period of time, there are ways of keeping your builds safe.

1. Go to our forums and put in a post on the inactivity page. If you cannot access the forums please let a Manager+ know and we can get it taken care of for you.

2. Make a discord support ticket.

Alright then, with all that being said....here are a few more things to keep in mind.

Yes Vet world will not be reset unless it absolutely has to. Your builds will be safe.

You can build whatever you feel like but please, keep it clean as we do have kids that play on this server. Even though build removals will be few and far between in Vet world if anything inappropriate is found it will be removed.

Ok so if you have stuck around this long, here's the catch to Vet world. It isn't free. Below you will find the prices for the initial plot and expansions. The prices are the same as they were years ago so nothing has changed in that aspect. So remember, Mods can make the initial  50x50 plot protection but only Manager+ can make the expansions.

Vet World Pricing

Each player can get up to 1 protection in Vet World.

Initial 50x50 blocks: Free

First expansion to 75x75 blocks: 500k

Second Expansion to 100x100 blocks: 750k

Third and Final expansion 150x150 blocks: 1.25mil

Reminder: These expansions are separate. If you start with the initial plot size and want to go to the max, you have to pay for each expansion price.

Please note: Protections go from sky build limit to bedrock.

We would like to announce that we now have a new/improved mini-game..

MURDER MYSTERY

If you are not familiar with this, it where you and along with other players have to survive being killed by the murderer as either an innocent or detective. The detective plays the role of stopping the savage murderer to win the game.

You can collect gold to purchase potions or a bow to aide in your survival in various hidden places around the map.

To join just type /murder and to leave or quit the game do /murderleave.

Do you have what it takes to survive?

Hello Survival players!

Hope everything is well  So we have added a new simple plugin...Since the bees have been added to Minecraft a lot of you have beecome bee "farmers". With that being said, I found a plugin that keeps track of how many bees are in each hive/nest.

In order to view how many are in each all you have to do is simply right click on the hive/nest and a text should come across in chat.

If you take down the nest/hive with a silk touch tool and hover over the item in your inventory it will also show how many bees are inside.

Hopefully this will help those of you who are big on honey farming keep track of your bees.

I know its been a minute since I have posted a poll but here's what I have found. Please vote accordingly and as always, if you have any suggestions please let me know and I will look into it!

First up BBeeChecker...

As you are aware, we were given bees. This plugin allows you to see how many bees are in a hive by right clicking with an empty hand. With all the bee farms I thought this would be nice to keep track of our bees.

Second is Street Lamps...

With this plugin, in favor of all the towns we have popping up, this will allow redstone lamps to toggle on and off depending on what time of day it is.

If there is something else you would like to see, again please let me know and I will do my best to see if it can be found.

Also, please keep in mind that any plugins we add have the potential to create lag on the server.

Will we have to use our own building materials?

Materials will be provided and explained more when the event starts.

Nope you can come and go as you please, but once the 2 hours is up that's it.

How to play:

When a game is being started do /bingo join...

Then you should receive a bingo card with specific items to be collected. Collect all items in a row (either vertically, diagonally or horizontally) to win. And as always when it comes to bingo....be the first to complete the task.

My question to you is would you like to replace our current mini game Whack-a-mole with Bingo?

Also, prize items will vary with one surprise prize that is priceless so you will for sure want to join!! Fridge of Death is a game of Parkour, PVP, and Chance. Your prizes are whatever dispenses while you play, but be careful! There might just be a few surprises.
This event will be hosted on Saturday, September 28th at 8:00 pm EST.

Hello Survival players

You can now level up your dogs instead of them being lawn ornaments.

All you have to do is simply tame a wolf, and it will be given a random name. For example, I was given King and Rosie. You can change the color of their name tag by simply changing the color of their collar.

You can level up your pup by allowing it to fight skeletons, zombies etc. When your dog levels up they will let out a howl and a message will come up on your chat.

You can also check out the useful commands with /mydog.

Does this mean the more you play in that week the better the rewards are?

I would assume it would be. What comes to mind with this is similar to the games people play on their phones that give coins, free spins, power-ups for example. Each day is something more helpful than the previous.

I dont like the idea of people getting free stuff just for playing. That would be like telling them to log on for 30 seconds and take their reward and leave.

Maybe we can see if it can be set to a player has to be playing for a certain amount of time per day before the rewards are applied. Not sure if that's possible or not but might be worth looking into.

How about daily challenges instead of just free rewards? The daily challenge could be something randomly picked from a list of possible challenges. Could include catching 50 fish, crafting a cake, maybe mining 20 diamond ore. If you complete the challenge, you get a bonus 10k or some other reward. That kind of thing. A plugin might already exist for this concept?

I'm not sure if there is a plugin for this or not, although I'm sure there is. If so the only thing we would need is for someone to write out the challenges/give an idea as to what the rewards would be to match the difficulty.

So this week our poll is between Horse TP and Alternative Death. Below you will find descriptions of both, please pick one or if you have a suggestion, by all means please let me know!

Horse TP:

Normally if you're sitting in a Vehicle, perhaps a Horse, or maybe a Boat, and you decide teleport anywhere, you get teleported and your vehicle gets left behind... It seems a little dumb, doesn't it? Well, guess what, now you can teleport your vehicle with you.

Alternative Death:

Fracture ( The more you fall, the more likely you are to have a fracture )

Hemorrhage ( The more sword or arrow damage you take, the more likely you are to die from hemorrhage )

Sickness ( The more raw meat you eat or the more potion you drink, the more likely you are to become ill )

Lack of water or sleep ( If you do not sleep for an hour or you do not drink for half an hour you will die of sleep or thirst )

Zombie Virus ( More you take damage by zombies, the more likely you are to die with the VirusZ )

Lightning ( You can die with lightning, a random player in server is chosen, the more  players there are, more the players are lucky for death with lightning )

More Wolves ( The wolves is already forgotten in Minecraft, here the wolves are back, a random player in the server is chosen, 20 wolves spawn in 500 blocks around the player, if the player falls on, don't punch )

You can also craft potions to heal from everything besides the lightning strikes.

Hello once again Survival players!

So I know it seems I've been poll happy but I would love to hear from you guys!

As you know we are searching for potential plugins to add to survival. This week, it's between My Dog and Better Book Shelf.

   My Dog  :

     Dogs teleport upon chunk-unloading, so the Dogs can follow their owner. Requires the Dog to not sit.
*    Randomly generated names.
*    Add feature so Dogs can gain experience and actually level up by killing stuff.
*    Add feature so Dogs get more health and deal more damage the higher level they reach.
*    A command to view a Dogs stats.
*    Update color of Dog's name tag when their collar gets colored.

Now for Better Book Shelf 

This plug in allows you to store up to 18 books per bookshelf.

Hey Survival players!

So after the last poll on a potential new plugin, disease came in second. We would like to have more feedback on the topic. With that being said here is a more in depth look at what Disease is...

With this plug in you can contract diseases and infections, craft cures to alleviate symptoms and even spread to fellow players if you go with an affliction for too long.

Here are a few of the ailments that come with this and they are as follows:

Flesh Wound: Injuries caused by breaking blocks with bare fist, no effect but if not cured with bandage infection chance is increased - bandage cure

Yellow Fever: Contracted in the insect infested jungle, high fever and sneezing ensues, contagious to others

Whooping Cough: Contracted in the dusty desert, wheezing and coughing contagious

Plague: Contracted by damage from zombies, high fever sickness, Vomiting and sneezing contagious - potion cure

Cholera: Contracted by drinking uncleaned water, sickness, vomiting

Broken Leg: Contracted by fall damage, slowness until leg repaired

Pneumonia: Contracted by extend stay in cold conditions, slowness exhaustion reduced lung capacity coughing

Swamp Fever: Contracted by swimming in swamp biomes with flesh wound
Open Wound: Contracted by being slashed with a sword - bleeding, weakness, damage - bandage cure
Arrow Wound: Contracted by being hot by an arrow, weakness, damage

Choking: Contracted by eating food - causes blocked throat, - damage, reduced speech, not able to consume food or drink

Rabies: Contracted by wolf bite - causes fever foaming mouth, vomiting, confusion, violent outbursts, speed strength, heart failure

Pox: Contracted by being near to many animals- causes temperature, sneezing, vomiting, blindness, weakness, CONTAGIOUS

Along with all of these there is a way to build immunity

Each time you contract a disease you build up an immunity to it

Higher immunity=reduced chance of catching a disease.

I know there is concern on new players, but this would put a twist on the whole survival aspect and add more of a challenge for a lot of those who have figured out how to stay alive without dying.

Maybe something we could add is a farm/resource world. Where there are more ores etc generated so the overworld isn't full of mines. This world could reset on a monthly bases the same as the nether and end

I personally like this idea, it would prevent the other worlds from being destructed everywhere. Not really sure how we could manage it though. Might be something to consider. But I think the main concern would be the economy and how this would impact it, it could go either way really.

What is rotten smelt? I can only assume it allows you to smelt rotten flesh. Chest sorting might be ok but i do like to sort my chests a certian way. Id have to vote for disease cause its just a "twist" rather than a full change to an exsisting mechanic! Either way a change would be nice!!

Rotten smelt is just as you described. I know there are times where it seems as if cows don't spawn as often, rotten smelt would allow players to utilize the rotten flesh dropped from zombies..pop it in a furnace and it turns to leather.
