Please suggest Cosmetic Perks!

Please suggest any eula-friendly cosmetic perks that we can add on our servers / premium shops.
With us having to follow the eula this means pretty soon we will be unable to pay our bills unless we adapt.
So please suggest cosmetic perks which we can add in the premium shop (preferably consumable ones).

I have extracted some bits from the Mojang "Let's talk Monetisation" Q&A in order to answer any questions you may have

What counts as a server? Are proxies one big server, or lots of smaller ones?
A server is something a user connects to with their client. The user is on a different server when they leave one and manually join another (in the multiplayer screen). Virtual servers and proxies make no difference; to the client it's the same server.

Can I charge access to a specific part of my server, such as a minigame or world?
No, you cannot charge for any part of a server. Only the access. Once on a server, all players must have the same gameplay privileges. You may make a different server which features "premium" areas, and charge for access to that server instead, but the benefits cannot carry between servers.

What do you mean by "hard currency" compared to "soft currency"?
Hard currency is real money or anything that can be converted into real money, including Bitcoins. Soft currency is available in-game only, and has no real-world value. The restrictions in the EULA only apply to hard currency; you may unlock things in-game with soft currency.

My server features a currency that you can earn through gameplay, but which can also be bought for hard currency. Is that OK?
Soft currencies that are earned in-game are fine, but you cannot sell in-game currency for hard currency. Hybrid/dual currency systems are not allowed.

Can I sell boosters, which provide faster gold gain, XP, or other in-game resources for hard currency?
No - boosters, item generators, and all other features that affect gameplay are not allowed.

Can users purchase something that affects the entire server, such as a temporary XP boost?
Yes, but everyone who can access the server must be able to use the feature, regardless of whether they purchased it or not.

Can I charge for access to server commands?
Yes, as long as their effects are purely cosmetic. Commands that affect gameplay, such as a command to fly, cannot be sold for hard currency.

How should servers deal with users who have already spent hard currency on features that affect gameplay?
Users may keep the perks they've paid for on the condition that the same perks are available to other players on the server (directly or purchasable using soft currency). It's up to the server host to decide how to compensate users for previous transactions.


The last point is rather important. Flymod is available in the vote shop so, soft currency, autoshop will be too so also safe, however, I cannot add god mode so that means I must and will remove god mode from anyone in the game.

I haven't looked into changeskin yet but #1 Colored Ender Chest -> Dupe fest waiting to happen. Also addons of Slimefun are susceptible to breaking and when that does it's almost a guaranteed dupe until we figure out and update them

Not as bad as you think probably, it would only boost dust/slimefun ingots/etc. by a small percentage, right?

Isn't so much cosmetic, but what if you could donate to be able to place more furniture or more advanced furniture?
Don't think it'd break EULA since you still need to get the items and craft it yourself.

I can't find whatever plugin could be used for it, but i've been thinking what about mini player NPC's? Similar to how we have on Qwest and Wild West, you can donate to have an NPC of a player's skin that you choose (can you be your own, can be someone elses) and have it wherever you like? It would also be awesome if you could then have your own GUI to customise them, maybe with armour, what they have in their hand etc. I think this would be really awesome, especially since armour stands don't work.

Player donates for an NPC Statue. Admin+ can deliver it with a command. The command spawns an NPC that looks like a player (the player can choose what skin the NPC uses). The NPC doesn't do anything but the stand there, but the player can customise it's armour that it is wearing and what items that it has in it's hands. @Towelie have you seen any of the NPC's on qwest? It's similar to those. Perhaps have the NPC's name coloured so you know that it is an NPC rather than a player.

You are correct, it is the Statues Mod, and comes with the B-Team modpack. However there might be a plugin equivalent.

We could also make SimpleSit a donator item. Price could be like $1.50 or something and you get the perm for /sit. It does nothing but allows you to sit, which could be fun for role playing types of stuff. You can't move while sitting, so you can't glitch through blocks. Just an idea!

WorldGuard Region Effects - you can have the mod/or admin+ team do this for the payer that bought it (it gives you an effect when you enter your region.)
Exotic Garden - just sounded interesting this plug in is an add-on to Slime Fun
Portal Gun - it's a gun that creates portals. (I don't know if you can set perms for it though.)

For all servers that have the hat mod, sell hats $3 for 4 random hats or $5 for 5 specific hats, some are hard to find and are hard to get overall, but they make 0 difference to gameplay overall so it would be perfect

On the shop they could be sold in packs of 1, 3 and 5 or you could just let them use the non lag ones <3

Survival used to have this before the 1.9 update broke it. I don't think we went back to it because it was outdated.

I just thought of something awesome, there is a mod called "armorers workshop" which lets you create custom skins for weapons and armor. You create the skin using armorers blocks, then you save it to a file block which you can put a template in.

Whats cool about the mod is that you can make the skin on a single player world in creative, then you save it into the file block and can access it on the server.

What I am thinking is that you can craft the file block and armorers blocks, but you have to donate to get the template to add it onto armor/blocks/weapons.

This wont work on survival as it is a mod, but on lost islands and pixelmon it would be fun.

Pet Master -> Does not work with BattlePets
Rainbow Armor -> Had it before cause a lot of lag as each time the armor changes color it basically lags a bit and if 10 people wear them it can cause quite some lag.
Will analyze the rest now!
