A traumatised eight-year-old girl has told police how a strange man dragged, punched, kicked and started to undress her at her school in Melbourne's east.
The girl was attacked at Glenferrie Primary School moments after the hometime bell rang at 3.30pm last Thursday.
Shaken and distressed, it took more than two days before the girl and her parents reported the matter to police

Police are hunting a man who dragged an eight-year-old girl around the grounds of her school in Melbourne's east and verbally and physically abused her before undoing her top.
It is believed the girl was playing at the school on Manningtree Road, Hawthorn, about 3.30pm last Thursday, when the man grabbed at the girl and dragged her to a secluded area on the grounds before shouting at her and kicking her.
When he tried to undo the little girl's top, she managed to get away, and the offender fled through the front exit of the school.
