I hate to be pedantic, but I believe BC complies with DST, so would surely now be in PDT which would be GMT -7 / 8 hours behind BST.

Yes, BC does comply with DST. PDT is -7, and BST is +1 giving you the 8 hour difference. So yes, my fault saying '-8' in the post above. xD
