Just minutes ago, the rocket Antares, which was launched October 26 of 2014 at 23:30 GMT+1 in Virgina, exploded on it's launch pad, live on NASA's official livestream.

As no one was injured: Bonfire night has come early!

If anyone has 20 billion dollars and wants a rocket, I can guarantee that mine won't blow up.

Kingcozza

Phahaha, kark you'd probably blow it up deliberately

lioneatszebra

I watched it live! People were like, "Oh this is so cool." and then boom. Shit starts falling to the earth like a fucking pencil dropping to the ground. Thankfully no one was on board.

Considering this was the first flight done by private investors, I'd say they did pretty good. Several beginning launches made when the government invested in the program blew up on the pad.
Yes, this was a roaring success.

TheGoldenKibby

It's beginning to turn into a "flame" war.

Eternal_Jamie

It's nice to turn up the heat sometimes, but yeah bre/krank stop trying to insult each other. If you really dislike a post just "shit post" it rather than insulting someone.

emm10

Try to not get "blown" away by all these comments.

when you say "exploded on it's launch pad", it's not a literal statement
we all saw the video, you don't have to explain something we all just fuckin saw

I do when the info is wrong

Not really wrong though, saying launch pad gives an idea of it being close to take off. Saying "Rocket explodes in mid air" could mean it exploded several km's in the sky, whilst in this case it barely appears more than ~200m. So rockets launches, is in the air for a few seconds then boom. That's hardly mid air, I mean you could say "rocket explodes shortly after launch" but the title/info is sufficient given there is a video so we can see with our own eyes what happens and call it whatever we want.

Which is worse
