It's been a while

Hey all,

I'm honestly not sure if many people remember me, but hi. My username is goosekino (some may remember me as sillygooseking, or even kirbyhand from my earlier days), but my real name is Chase. I owned an autoshop named GooseAuto, and was even in staff for a brief period.

I started playing on this server back in August of 2014, and have amassed over 800 hours into the server, and God do I miss it. I even remember my first few days on the server as a kid, some members from staff helped me make my first house. It had this really ugly glass ceiling that I remember thinking was the pinnacle of Minecraft architecture. I was gifted items like ores, food, building blocks, and other materials, and from there I made my first shop of many throughout my tenure on the server.

It truly is amazing how many memories have been made on just one silly little Minecraft server. Elite Mobs, Slimefun, Steve Co. Crates, the ugly checkerboard strip mall me and some friends made, and the events, just to name a few. These are things that I am constantly reminded of anytime I play, or even think of the game. I still remember almost every home I had constructed, although I just wish I had screenshots or world saves to reminisce them with. And the players, whom I miss dearly.

What pains me is there will never be anything like this server. But at the same time, there's a certain level of joy that this fact brings to me. Such a unique environment of hospitality, humor, and creations that could never be replicated in any fashion is truly astounding to me and my nostalgic sense. And now, after all of these years, we've all grown up and away from this tightly-knit community of like-minded people. Hell, I'm now living 7,000 miles away from home figuring out how to live for myself. I'm sure there's still people kicking around in here, and to that I commend you all for keeping this place's flame alive. If I had the time, I would do the same.

So what really brings me to write this? I'm honestly not quite sure. I don't even really know if this post will be read by many, but in all honesty, that is okay too. I am just elated to be writing to this forum after all these years to pay my regards to what made this game so special to me. But if you are reading this, and you recognize me, or just want to share your experience here on this lovely platform, please do tell. I truly would love to read it.

Anywho I've been reminiscing/ranting for a while now. If you had any part in SFT's life, whether it be staff, or members, thank you for helping to create such fond memories for me and many others. I hope everyone is doing well in life now. I'll never forget what took place here.
