[Survival] We're running out of usable world space

Measures that will be taken imediately:
-A huge BCV run will start, hosted by funkymonkey245 (our new BCV manager, this will be her role from now on, overseing BCV runs and managing the world's free space via BCV's)
- World1 will be expanded a bit to allow for more space
- We will start procedures for a World2 resets. This means we'll try to find a suitable world, have a spawntown built / added to it, and only then we'll annoucne and do the reset. There will be an official announcement 30 days before the reset.
- Towny rent has been HALFED - Rent is now half in Towny world. Use this! The towny world will never / almost never be reset because it automatically regenerates the towns of players that aren't playing any more / don't have any residents. Use that to your advantage. Move your builds (manually) / stuff you care about (that will survive across world resets), to the Towny world. This will mean paying a bit of rent, yes, but why else are you hoarding all those EmpBucks ? xD

PS: The green/red rectangles are WorldGuard protections.

Thank you funky and towelie for striking a good balance between keeping a tidy server and helping us keep our hard-earned work!  SFT is remaining one of the best servers around for good reason!

Increasing W1 from 3500x3500 to 4500x4500 -> That's the biggest increase i've ever done in a world.
Server might lag for the next hour while the world expands. The world change will take ~12h to appear in dynmap (as rendering is not instant)

By moving builds manually do you mean that some staff can still transport builds between worlds?

This is basically an option to everyone:
If you don't want a reset of w1 too: Spam the Jmods, Mods and Managers with builds you think are BCV's. We need you to report as many as possible, so we can get some of those green squares removed :)  :zombie:

Mind if I build a small part in the new spawntown? I have a really cool idea in mind, if this is allowed, the architects can also change the materials used if they want! :)

could we also report broken and destroyed terrain to managers+ and have them fix the land?
ex: All the gravel missing in Extreme hills regions. Mesa biomes are destroyed. Deserts barely have any sand left in them.

Also I've noticed that the newer biomes such as Ice Plain Spikes is protected and cannot be built on at all.

wait, why the reset for w2? there is still a lot of space there, i find no reason to reset it
plus,people have large progects all taking place in the tropics :( like the jpp :(

No builds moved at all for now. It means you cannot get your building move yet until they announce that there will be a world reset, so calm down we might still be able to get a build moved.

I took Towelie's message (#7) to mean that they are so early in the "reset process" that it's premature to begin talking about moving buildings.  It sounds like the world hasn't even been generated yet so it's kind of pointless to begin discussing buildings moving from place to place.

People have thrown the idea for a /w* reset for a while and each time I've seen answers that basically amount to "we won't have solid answers until a world is physically created somewhere".  Creating the spawntown will take a good bit of time as it is.  Until we hit the point when Towelie is announcing a 30-days out warning, I wouldn't get too freaking out about buildings disappearing.

ono. i hope that Build-Moving will be allowed. i have some good ones out there

Almost every world reset we have had there has been a period of time where we are able to move building from the world being reset to another world by Manager+, I am sure that if there is a world reset something like this will probably be implemented again... even if there is a limit as to how many builds you can move.

I gather you haven't looked at the world map recently (see the worldguard overlay layeR)

Actually, we have a spawntown made since ages ago (it was made for something else but never got to be used)

Actually, we have a spawntown made since ages ago (it was made for something else but never got to be used)

But can I tweak it a tiny bit? I didn't want to make the whole spawntown, just a tiny, like 10x10 area in it, kind of like the museum, I wanted to make an area where staff were named, and categories such as Mods, Managers, Admins, Specialists, Elders and Owners. Each section with all staff member heads included and with their name above.
