Sorta similar to this, since we can no longer use /random bypass can the cooldown on /random be reduced a bit? Maybe to 5 or 10 seconds max.
It's fun! Good classic minigame.
Some things to be careful of though before you play:

- Empty your inventory/take off armor before. There is a rare bug where the game can stop and your inventory will be wiped.
- Pvp will be turned on for you, so after the event, remember to type /pvp off
You truly are the voting legend. Congrats on 4 years!

I want to say it was around 20 mil.
Dear Survival Players,

We're currently on the lookout for some new Event ideas that can be hosted by EventHosts/EventMods/Managers in World 3. Please suggest here if you have any interesting ideas, theres a lot of new mechanics in the game which means potentially we've overlooked some. Please consider the following:

- The Event does not use Plugins. The Event may use command blocks (so long as it's simple and doesn't require datapacks). If your event does need redstone/command blocks please try and describe it so it can be reproduced.
- The Event is easily hostable by the team (the simpler the better).
- Try not to suggest new maps of current events (for example a new Wipeout course or Boatrace map) unless you have a really interesting spin that could make it stand out.
- One of the things we're on the look out for particularly is new luck games (but any game is good)!

Don't be shy to suggest anything you can think of! The more ideas the merrier!

Many thanks,

Quote from: omelet on Jun 08, 2020, 06:33 PMThey're already in the premium shop.

Oh bugger you're right! I'll lock this then.

I recently had the thought about returning player heads to the premium shop to help boost revenue. I did a tiny bit of research and it would seem that player heads are actually EULA compliant because;

A) They are purely cosmetic
B) Give no unfair advantage (Provided they are player/block heads instead of Mob heads)

Some people discussed on this thread here: https://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/minecraft-java-edition/discussion/2728488-eula-compliance-question

I also checked out the premium shop of a server I once visited many years ago that I remember selling them (sorry, don't kill me) and they are still up and selling them. I won't mention the server name here but here is a screenshot as proof.

It would be awesome to this item returned. I know it was pretty popular for head collectors back in the day.
Been thinking about this for a while - a /kit revamp. As it stands a lot of the kits are useless, for example kit member gives you just two cookies and which always get chucked away.

Below is the changes to current kits I think should be made:

/kit starter - No change.

/kit member - 1x Milk Bucket, 16x Cookie, 1x Iron Chestplate

/kit veteran - 1x Horse Egg, 1x Saddle, 5x XP Bottles, 1x Emerald

/kit elite - 10x XP bottles, 4x Ender Pearls, 1x Diamond

Also think the introduction (or re-introduction) of some new kits would be useful.

/kit torches - 32x Torches (Available to all Guest+) - Return of an old much loved kit.

/kit farm - 8x Potatos, 8x Carrots, 8x Seeds, 8x Cocoa Beans (Available to all Guest+)

/kit crafting - 1x Crafting Table, 1x Furnace, 16x Oak Planks (Available to all Guest+) - Requested a lot from players i've noticed needing a crafting table in the wild. Will help stop trees being half cut down in the world.

None of these suggestions will do any damage to the economy, but create a nice balance between usefulness and also items to look forward to in the next rank.
Also disagree with you there Cire for reasons others stated above. Especially as Waffle pointed out, water is a key part of some Wipeouts in particular (4 and 7 come to mind).

Quote from: Cireshie on Apr 23, 2020, 03:06 AMDepth strider in wipeout is no different than using efficiency in spleef, especially if you use the argument that "Not everyone has depth strider."

One of the key differences in availability of the enchantment. A lot of people would enchant then shovels for every pair of boots they enchant. Not to mention it is far more common on enchanted books.

At the end of the day, it is always the hosts discretion and judgement what they allow in their events. I personally am not opposed to the idea of a host doing an unenchanted iron game of spleef if they wished.

Soulbound rods would be amazing, even it takes a lot of work to get, it would be worth it.

Quote from: Kysentra on Apr 01, 2020, 02:49 PMDamn Green 8 years is pretty impressive. (and omg GotAnError, another old name).

I recently checked the event list and saw Tiebreaker is still around...that steal or share thing has your name on it. Let it be known that I am shamelessly claiming credit for originally bringing that idea to SFT, though you probably did a better job than my crappy old red and blue pile of redstone crap.

Love ya you lovely welcoming person you.
Ah yes I remember the old one, it was lost at one point and needed to be rebuilt. Wasn't sure who built the original but i'll add your name for credit now I know!
General Discussion / 8 years of service
Mar 03, 2020, 07:28 PM

Today (03.03.2020) I am proud to announce is my eight year anniversary of playing on the server! Thinking about it, 8 years is a very long time to be tied to a community, when many communities themselves can be lucky to last even a year. I'm gonna do a quick breakdown of my time here, I could go on for hours but i'll make it short.

I first joined the server in March 2012. Circle spawn was the current spawn. I was invited on by someone who wanted to get me banned and asked me to break a block in his house, thus summoning a staff member to punish me. Luckily my journey didn't end there.

I became JMod in 2013, that lasted for about 2 weeks before I vanished off the face of the earth, I didn't enjoy being a staff member.

In early 2014, I became a prominent factions player and also a Survival EventHost, which many of you know me for. I remained an EventHost for about 2 - 2.5 years.

In July 2014, I also won the Architect rank along with Supermee, by obtaining first place in Kaninka's build contest to recruit Architects. Since then, I have been heavily involved with many aspects of SFT. I have been working for the server for 6 years!

Nowadays, I am active sporadically but my involvement on the server is still ongoing. I have worked on many spawns or builds for the server as well as serving as staff, and I am also a patron.

I won't be doing a comprehensive list of people to thank, you guys know who you who are even if we may not talk/get along well. I want to thank everyone, who has made the experiences on the server what they are. Heres to making it to 10 years!

Think Town of Salem but.... better. More text based where people actually have to talk.
I agree with Tera's list. The only thing i'd remove is endstone as thats as common as cobblestone with access to the end.
Am I he only one that thinks the random items like cookies and milk are really annoying? Constantly having to throw them out my inventory. Also the potion effects are a pain as well, especially for those playing events.
Careful everyone, theres a serious bug. When you join the server, it will drop an item into the 9th slot of your hotbar,  replacing whatever is already there (the item that was there will be lost forever). It happens everytime you log in. I've messaged Tow to fix it but i'd recommend not joining if you think you have something there.

Updated: Fixed!

Ayyy grats Winston, I remember you'd always message me when you were a member, look where you are now!
How about daily challenges instead of just free rewards? The daily challenge could be something randomly picked from a list of possible challenges. Could include catching 50 fish, crafting a cake, maybe mining 20 diamond ore. If you complete the challenge, you get a bonus 10k or some other reward. That kind of thing. A plugin might already exist for this concept?
Definitely not Alternative Death, what mad man even voted for those? The Horse TP seems handy, if it actually works properly.

Hard no, doesn't sound very fun or in the spirit of what SFT's Survival is.
I'd like to see the Farm Litter be less strict with removing animals. With the server being smaller than it once was, there are fewer players making big animal farms. And now, with some many new animals in the game people wish to have many pets and animals without having to worry about them being deleted.

Could you up it so that it way less strict with animal/entity removal, as well as reveal to players what this actual number is? Would give a lot more player peace of mind about their animal usage.
Another i'd like to see changed is, default /ptp to be enabled like it used to be back in SFTMMO and also Pre-SFTMMO. As a non-staff member, it was always nice that we could tp to our friends like we used to it. I believe mcmmo config allows you to disable requests to default, so that all party members can tp to eachother. Sorry if this is hard to understand, it's a tough thing to explain, but anyone who has used parties know what I mean.
I would like to see a boatload of more hats added to the /hats plugin. I'd be happy to provide a list of potential items if necessary.

Quote from: sky_comet on Nov 25, 2018, 04:50 PMHow much has it expanded by? and also it doesn't appear to show up on the live map.
at least not yet.
It needs to be rendered. Old border: 3500 new border: 4000. That's from 3500x3500 to 4000x4000 so even if it sounds like it's just 500, it's not xD. It's a difference of ~4 million blocks
Speaking of Dynmap, could we get a 3D render of World 1 and show protection regions too? @Towelie
Will render, but not 3d because that can take tens of gigs of disk space. and protections should already be there, just not visible by default, click on layers then enable protection
Protections aren't on there unfortunately.
