The server was updated to 1.14.3
Normally, there are a lot of broken plugins, however the core essential plugins are working.
We will now expedite work on adding World2 @TeraStorm @xJimJam  (FYI). No ETA at this time but we are working on it.

I have updated Survival to the latest version of Spigot 1.13.2 and updated some plugins.
This is mostly for security, until we update to 1.14.x

As a reminder, 1.14.x is currently very laggy and bugged and not suitable to update to (unless we want a server that lags so much that commands take seconds to execute)

Updated mcMMO, PyroFishing, PyroMining, EliteMobs and a bunch of other plugins

Today, I've tried to update Survival to 1.14.2.
Well, the results of that were mildly encouraging, because it turns out our world works just fine, even in 1.14.2. Meaning when Mojang/Microshit actually release a playable version, we can upgrade to it (1.14.3, 1.14.100000, who knows).

But I quickly had to downgrade because:
- The performance was like well.. trying to run Crysis on a toaster
- Minecraft is a piece of shit game made by lousy people who don't care about servers and performance (it wasn't always like that, but it seems to be the case now)
- A ton of plugins were broken and we would've lost oh about 30% of our plugins, including critical ones.


TL;DR -> We updated to 1.14.2 then quickly downgraded to 1.13.2, now we are waiting for Minecraft to stop being a shitty game and actually work for a change.

EDIT: Turns out this was yet another flopped update from Mojang and NOT the update that was supposed to fix all the clusterfuck

So, after at least ~30h spent trying to upgrade to 1.14 and then to 1.14.1, something is very clear.
world1 is corrupted. Sadly, since 1.13.2 changed the world format, there are no tools that can allow us to save this world. Upon migrating to 1.14.1, this corruption (which manifests itself very rarely in 1.13.2) breaks world saving, meaning any of the worlds don't save either (meaning, for those less minecraft savy of you that every block you place will re-appear at a restart, and so on.).

It doesn't bring me pleasure to announce this, but we will have to do a world reset when we update to 1.14.1 (the exact timing of that was not yet determined).
We will however allow all players to transfer a building. For owners of huge buildings / autoshops / etc, we will do our best to transfer over, but no guarantees can be given (due to limitations with worldedit / minecraft / etc).

This seems completely unavoidable, believe me, we tried EVERYTHING. and I mean EVERYTHING.

I ask that you remain calm and continue playing. I am still working on finding a workaround, but for now, after weeks of research and trial it seems impossible.

I am expecting 1.14.1 to come within 2 weeks.
From what I've found, they've fixed a lot of bugs, including the extremely annoying chunk loading lag and other lag causing issues.

Now, when this comes, we should be set to update right away, provided nothing else happens like it did in 1.14 (basically I worked for 6 hours in one sitting trying to upgrade only to encounter a lot of really bad issues such as players crashing on join, extremely bad performance with chunk loading and all that.

I would like to ask, as a precaution this time, that you remove all your items from a) CrazyAuctions (/ml) b) Slimefun backpacks the moment you see 1.14.1 is out (I will not post any further warnings, in theory the transition should go smooth and no item loss should occur from the above mentioned containers, but you never know and WE WILL NOT OFFER ANY REFUNDS (since there is a warning)

Lastly, I hope that 1.14.1 is not the mess of an update that 1.14 was, and I hope everything will go smooth during the transition from 1.13.2 to 1.14.1 and the world conversion (during my upgrade attempts for 1.14 a lot of things went wrong, including the world being corrupted - but I had backups -.

I cannot fully exclude that a world reset will be needed, but it is looking like we shouldn't have any problems with that.

PS: For the past few days I've been on a mini break from SFT which will now extend (hopefully for only a few more days) due to my health. Sorry if I've neglected any tickets or haven't been around a lot lately, that's going to improve once I get back on my feet and 1.14.1 comes out.

What this means - I, and specifically myself (as I own the domain superfuntime.org) am solely responsible for anything anyone uploads from now on.
And responsible as in legally. I can literally go to jail for some random user uploading a pirated movie/music video on our forums.

Now, obviously, this will affect small business owners and small communities like us the most, as in order to comply, you have to spend thousands of dollars developing a "Content filter" that will scan every uploaded file and check whether it is copyrighted or not.

What does this mean for SFT?
- I don't know how this affects us currently. The website was recently moved to Canada, so we are no longer hosted in the european union, but apparently, as long as it is accesible by EU users, it is still my responsibility.
- After this is oficially in effect (it was voted today), I will have to do one of the following things:
- Block access to anyone in the EU
OR
- Disable any file uploads and embeds (this means no more image embeds, no more forum signatures, no more nothing.

Until this is clarified and we decide which path to choose (probably the second), please be aware that uploading any sort of copyrighted content on SFT forums is now against the rules and punishable by 1st time: revoking your posting privileges and 2nd time: a forum ban.
This includes embeds of youtube videos of music/movies/etc.

So, I've been talking with @xQuicScopex✪ and we are unsure what to do with PE.
On one hand, it's almost completely abandoned, on the other hand we would like to hear what you think.

In our opinion, we could do one of three things:
- Completely remove it from SFT
- Turn it into a private whitelisted server (almost no benefit though)
- Keep it as it is

Its main problem is the lack of players. Yes, it wasn't updated so fast in the past due to inactive owners, but now that is no longer a problem. Only the lack of players is one.
Please tell us what you think we should do with the PE server and why!

Good news! The mcMMO XP gain rate has been doubled for the weekend (as of now and until Monday)
Meaning you will gain mcMMO experience and level up twice as fast!

Bad news, we are discontinuing the SFT Eggs plugin (/hatcher) due to developer going inactive and the plugin being really buggy (since 1.13).
You have 48h to hatch any existing eggs, afterwards they will be worthless and non redeemable.

The forums were upgraded to the latest public version.
This means some (or most) of the modifications we had installed may not work and there may likely be other bugs (for example notifications are a bit wonky at the moment).

We are aware and working to fix these issues, obviously concentrating on the most serious first (the fact that notifications are wonky is not more important than the fact that people can't log in or register -which should be fixed now-)

We are now using SMF 2.1 RC1 on PHP 7.x (exact version not shown for security reasons)

Now obviously, I don't believe everything that comes out of Alex Jone's mouth, but if you strip the craziness, what he says kind of adds up and is confirmed by Elon Musk as well :S

Survival's anticheat systems were updated to better protect our players from cheaters and xrayers.
Obviously I cannot get into exactly what was changed because we don't want you to know how we catch xrayers.

You shouldn't notice any negative side-effects, but if you do, please reply in this topic.

Survival was upgraded to use the new mcMMO Overhaul.
You should notice a lot of changes in mcMMO, and a lot of bugfixes as well.

NOTE: XP gaining has been reduced even further to prepare for the boost of the max level cap to 1000 in 1.14

- Fixed issue with multiple packages not being delivered in-game from the premium shop
- Switched payment gateway from PayPal Classic to PayPal Express Checkout. This should allow credit card payments for folks in US / some countries, and should be more consistent in delivering the items.
- Updated PyroMining & regenerated config (as required by the update, meaning you should see some new features maybe)
- Updated PyroFishing & regenerated config (same as above)
- Made it a bit harder to get XP in mcMMO in preparation for raising the level cap in 1.14. Please let me know if it feels too slow or not slow enough. Basically I changed the formula from 70 * level to 100 * level meaning you will need more xp and it will be more noticeable at higher levels
- Regenerated Nether & End
- Fixed PlayerWeather perms in the premium shop and for everyone that had already purchased it
- Removed AdminWorld (not used)
- Updated Spigot
- Fixed Hype Beast rank showing as white in-game (ty blalp/xquic)

Creative was fully reset and fully updated. I have also implemented backups, so in the future world corruption doesn't mean instant reset.
I have taken over creative for only Back-End stuff with @Super_Boox as the HoS who will manage staff / in-game stuff.
Currently we are making it work without plots as the plots plugin is completely broken and prevents the server from starting. The moment that gets fixed, I intend on adding a plot world.

Good news!
We now have a temp voice room system for discord. What does that mean for you? You can create a temporary room on the Super Fun Time discord server where you can invite your friends, and even lock the room so only people you invite have access to the room.
To get started, type $room in #bot-spam or click on the "Click for temp room" room inside Temp Voice Rooms category (right under normal voice rooms).

Due to this, we have removed a bunch of public voice rooms, and only left one for each server we host. We've removed the Fortnite/PUBG and so on rooms, because they didn't really make sense (instead of all people fighting over one room, now you can create a room for your party and friends)

The b-Team server was EOL'd (END OF LIFE).
I have stopped the b-Team server and deleted the server files (we still have a backup tho), and have worked on deleting the b-team boards, forum ranks and any mention of b-team anywhere.

Currently, the only thing that remains are the discord ranks for b-team - as we are trying to migrade the staff team to other servers.

If you notice any references to b-team anywhere outside discord, please create a ticket in #support as they will need to be removed.


I'm genuinely sorry that b-Team didn't work out any more, after years of it being our 3rd or even 2nd server in popularity, but all things have to go at one point, and b-Team with its very outdated MC version (1.6.4) had to go sooner rather than later because all kinds of issues and complications arose.

Let's discuss about the state of SFT, future plans and ambitions:

Survival:
- Survival continues to maintain steady (albeit at a low number of players). I have tasked @TheStarNomad✯ with finding cool stuff (donator perks / fun plugins / plugins that add core gameplay) and generally, I'd say that while we aren't peachy, we are floating around. When the summer comes, I have no doubt, we will see a big bump of players.
- I have plans to add a new world when 1.14 releases (I am delaying that for then, specifically so we can have the 1.14 new features / mobs / etc)
- Staff crysis averted. We had a staff crysis a few months ago, I am glad to say that has improved and is still improving.

B-Team:
- There are plans to decomission B-Team, as everyone seems to have migrated to The 1.7.10 Pack anyway, and it's just a huge resource hog at the moment. Look out for a decomission announcement soon. We are pretty decided to do this, so unless a really strong reason comes against this, or unless someone offers to pay the bills to keep it up (no reason if you ask me, since it's empty all the time)


The 1.7.10 Pack:
- Since there are players and it's liked by people, it will stay. There are plans to develop the premium shop and add more to it. @xQuicScopex✪  can give more details

PE:
- After discussing with @BluetigerESW and @xQuicScopex✪ (mainly @xQuicScopex✪ ), we have decided that we should not decomission PE quite yet. While it's currently as good as dead, that's because of an update that crippled all our plugins, and we currently lack the resources to fix everything. If you are extremely good at PHP and want to help, contact @xQuicScopex✪ . Please note that the discord integration will be broken by the update, and we do not know if we will be able to fix it.


Creative:
- While it's not very popular, there are no plans to decomission it due to the very low resources it consumes.

SHC:
- Currently it is open to the public and whether it will remain or not, depends only on its popularity

Website:
- @fearthe1337 is working on moving the website from its dedicated server, to a vm. This move is expected to be completed within 3 months (due to some complications with the new forum version we are trying to update to requiring PHP7 and the website not being PHP7 ready). Once this is complete, it will mean a cost reduction of ~$50 / mo. Discord:
- As you may have seen, Discord is managed by Loasty and Nubbun. They are doing a great job running the server, so you can expect to see discord events from now on. Perhaps even the creation of a Discord EventHost team who's sole responsibility will be to host events.

Overall:
- The overall focus is currently self preservation. We are doing everything we can to reduce costs and make SFT viable for long term (we are almost there). So you can rest assured, as long as there are players on our servers / visitors on our website / members on our discord, SFT will be here.
- However, we are still keeping track on new games being released, seing what we could move to, and Dpa is working on reviving Pix (he can comment more on that)
